How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. There was a lack of communication. When we arrived we hat no access codes
Thank you for your review. However, I would like to remind you that you have already received a WhatsApp message in advance in which we asked you to send us your identification documents as well as the payment of the tourist tax in order to receive the access codes for the accommodation. This was not done by you and you showed up outside the check-in time. Nevertheless, I let you in personally and reminded you that for remote access, the documents must always be sent first via WhatsApp or Booking and the tourist tax paid so that the access codes can be sent securely. In your case, I sent you the codes anyway because I saw that you were in trouble and I didn't want to keep you waiting outside until the formalities were completed However, thank you for the compliments about the videos, which are not only entertaining but also very useful in providing a good service. When arriving to Italy, I got a WhatsApp video in Italian and request to pay taxes through a suspicious link + to send our documents in order to get the keycode. It took us some time to confirm that it's all legit as most of the communication was via canned messages and gif animations from Massimo. Overall, it was efficient, so all good!

Verified reviewI really enjoyed my stay at Residenze Olimpio in central Florence. The location is excellent—right in the heart of this magnificent city. The place was very clean and comfortable, and I especially appreciated the free parking, which is a big plus in Florence.A special shoutout to Massimo, who was incredibly helpful and responsive to all our questions and requests. Even though we didn’t get the chance to meet him in person 😊, he was always kind and professional.If I had to mention one small suggestion for improvement: since everything else is so new and well-designed, updating the bathroom with a more modern style would make this residence truly top-notch. Overall, a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again

The lift was not working on one occassion and we had to walk up the steps which was a bit of a problem for us Also I suppose not having the facilities like a bar/restaurant that you can go in at any time, but that wasn't a problem for us really.

Extremely tiny room - between the edge of the bed and the window, as well as on the other side of the bed and the wall, the passage was no more than 20 cm. The distance between the bed and the table - 45-50 cm, there is no room for a wardrobe - only for a small hanger. The same applies to the bathroom - the shower cabin was 75 max 80 cm - you can't turn around.The booked room was a regular double, NOT a small double room - the blue one from the attached photos. And yes, the regular double room is extremely small, I don't even think about the small double room, what size it will be. And lastly, I booked 7-8 days before my visit, so the choice of a good room in the center was almost zero, but that's my unforesightful

It all depends on how much you want to pay. I remind you that you can view the room measurements and photos before booking. If you only look at the price without the descriptions the customer should not be surprised afterwards. The room is very nice however the measurements are suitable for that type of room and cheap offer Massimo

This is not a negative, it was already informed during booking that the bathroom is separate in the entrance passage. Just to notify others about it and the bathroom is narrow. I would not suggest the room for longer stays and for taller people.
