We struggled with not having Wi-Fi in our rooms. We could get service on the grounds but not in our room. This was inconvenient and surprising given the cost of the accommodations.

The location was beautiful. The grounds were immaculately maintained. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. You could tell the staff took great pride in their work. We loved spending our time at the pool. This was a great place for relaxing. Also, even though it has a remote feel, it is very close to the town of Martina Franca.

Not really worth 5 star rating. Venue needs lots of updating (broken pool chairs, umbrellas,slow hot water in bathroom, towel as a curtain) and no information about bar, spa, gym etc. have to ask for anything that you would like, not obvious and no staff around by the pool, no bar. Room cleanliness not up to standard, glasses not replaced, towels replaced with dressing gowns, bins not always emptied. Such a gorgeous property with lots more potential !

Beautiful garden and pool. Well kept property but without doubt the most inconvenient bathrooms, old piping, cracked tub, lack of hot water and shower pressure, no toiletries replaced. Not quite the 5* advertised...Polite but rather complacent staff, service very slow and inconsistent.

We couldn’t reach front desk when we realized we didn’t have shower body soap neither conditioner.

I wish you could walk to the town center but driving here is never hectic just like small towns in America.. Tutti elegante.

Family owned and operated Masseria with beautiful grounds and buildings. Two restaurants id exceptional quality. About a half mile out of the town center on a large and private property. A highly professional young staff, They have a world class wine cellar and collection. A magnificent breakfast is included. Quite a value. Martina Franca is a hidden gem 20 minutes from everything. The historic inner city is one of the most incredibly elegant, clean and safe family friendly experiences of Southeastern Italy. And the prices are an incredible bargain. Puglia is called the new Amalfi. Maybe not quite the glitz but far advanced from our trips of 30 years ago. This little city is so easy to travel to every other site including Lecce and Gallipoli, both part of this incredibly revived area. After you have seen the big tourist cities, go south east for a real Italian experience. Bella, Bella, Bella.

It's a shame that neither the inside or outside pools were available for use.

Alessandro and all the staff made us feel so welcome from start to finish. Our room was superb and the food in the hotel restaurant was delicious as was the wine. The hotel spa was also a lovely relaxing space.

The room in the ground floor was a little small with no window. As we couldn't sleep with an open door the room wasn't ventilated enough for us.

The stuff were extremely kind, warm and helpful. Alexandro is one of a kind. The entire estate and gardens are beautiful. The room is clean with very hot shower. Breakfast is great as well.

We came in winter so not all the facilities were open, however, the staff were great and were always available to help in even the smallest details.

The price of drinks was quite expensive which I appreciate comes with a 5* setting but seemed quite steep.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The property is gorgeous. The rooms very clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. There was a wedding there the day we arrived so we almost had the pool to ourselves. The hotel put on a special menu for us in the evening as their restaurant initially was closed due to the wedding.

The Relais Villa San Martino was an oasis of calm in very busy Puglia. It is located slightly out of the town of Martina Franca, which is central within Puglia, therefore allowing us to do day trips to Matera, Ostuni, Alberobello and other villages and yet be back at the hotel for relaxation around the beautiful pool later in the afternoon. Our room was large and well-appointed, and whilst we had asked for a twin room, we were given more a suite with a larger and a smaller bed. Upon arrival on our first night, we were greeted by Alessandro and his staff, all of whom were friendly, helpful and polite at all times. Nothing was too much for them all. Breakfast was next level - delicious fruits, breads, pastries and cakes - all beautifully laid out. A cooked breakfast was also an option. Samwell (Samual) was particularly lovely - efficient, friendly and he looked after us very well both at the pool bar and at breakfast time with fabulous coffees. We actually wish we’d stayed there the whole week and just done day trips from there. Thanks you Alessandro, Gabriel and all the staff for a fabulous stay.

Need for some basic repairs of standard items - bathroom (e.g. loose shower top, non-functioning thermostate for water temperature) - safe: broken lock and as such out of use ... Access to property is possible for everybody (not only hotel guests) from different sites without any control

Breakfast buffet was nice and as pictured. Great restaurant on site. Extremely friendly staff helping in organizing taxi transfers and arranging healthy baby food.
