Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyDiner options need to improve. For example with a real chef and a better ambiance.
We had a brilliant stay. The building, gardens, terrace, parking place, rooms are perfect. Also the location is very nice; just outside of the historical centre.

LatviaIt was not fully clear that it is "albergo difuso" with different locations. We paid 30% extra to the original boking price to stay in the building we thought we had booked our room. Still, it was our choice and we enjoyed it.
Wonderful place, although a bit pricy it was worth every eur. We enjoyed the pool, the historical building, hospitality of the staff, and surrounding view. Just a perfect stay for a couple. Thank you!

SlovakiaEverything was excellent except the last night when a wedding party was taking place in the hotel. Which is fine and understandable in such type of venue, but it seems like the hotel is not even trying to keep the guests at least a bit comfortable. The windows are very old and you are literally feeling like you are trying to sleep in the middle of the dance floor. There is absolutely no difference if you keep the windows open. If they know wedding parties are something thay are regularly hosting, they should take measures to soundproof the rooms. Or at least offer ear buds to the guests. We had them packed (as we always do). It was still crazy uncomfortable but without them we would probably loose our minds. The last night was a total waste for us thogh as we fell asleep after one in the morning and had to get up at four due to early departure.
Beautiful historic property right next to historic fortification. Great surroundings. 2 minutes walking to old center with good restaurants. Very romantic setting ideal for couple holiday or honeymoon. Castle is right next to the hotel.

United KingdomWe were in one of the attic rooms and the remote for the blinds was difficult to decipher.
This was the most beautiful location. We stayed in the citadel which was magical. The hotel was fabulous too. Modern rooms, interesting showers that spoke to you (in Italian!). Loads of places to eat as well as the hotel itself, and the views from the hotel terrace were spectacular.

GermanyWe stayed inside the monastery and it is really special. The room was confortable and quiet. I loved the pool and the breakfast area, surrounded with nice vegetation and flowers. Having a glass of wine while looking at the sunset and the hills around was very romantic.

United KingdomSlight better signs for the entrance would have helped, but this is a minor detail!
Totally unique place to stay. We were in the convent but could have stayed in the castle. If you are in the area, this place is well worth a night or two. There are restaurants in the castle area. Lovely staff. Our room was mixing old and new with the biggest bed we've ever slept in, in a hotel. We will be back!

United KingdomThere was not anything that we did not like. Perhaps Relais 4 was a bit small and quite a few stairs and also a walk for breakfast but it was in the centre of the town, amazing.
We liked the position of La Loggia with the beautiful surroundings. We liked meeting the friendly staff who were very helpful in the extreme. The breakfast was excellent with plendty of fresh fruit

United KingdomNothing. It is ideal for a couple.
It is a quiet, characterful building with wonderful rural views and next to the historic town of Gradara. So you have the contrast between this quiet retreat and within 50 metres, an interesting castle and town and lots of restaurants. Parking is free and the autoroute, is accessible as are Rimini and San Merino..

United KingdomThe most beautiful sanctuary of a setting on a busy work week. The spa looked beautiful but sadly no time , tennis court and swimming pool were beautiful too but sadly no time .. my brother wants to come back for his 60th birthday he loved it so much .. we stayed in the main hotel building but in hindsight we will next time stay in the rooms offers inside of the castle fortress area as so many little restaurants and a stunning church to sit in . Parking very safe and Monica and Silvia are the most wondrous of staff helpers .. bedrooms warm and comfortable and the dinner served by A lovely Italian waiter couldn’t have been more friendly - charming in every way
