Property and facilities were amazing, but topped off by the owners' friendliness and kindness. Our family - myself, my husband and our eight months old daughter - felt very welcomed at all of the times. By the way, Mario prepared the best scrambled eggs with Italian spec for breakfast, to go with a wonderfully prepared cappuccino. I still miss our mornings at Il Pozzeto, overlooking the Tuscan hills.

There's nothing I didn't enjoy about our stay.

This was honestly the most beautiful and magnificent place we have ever visited. The view was breathtaking, and the kind service melted our hearts. Especially the way our daughter was cared for and how they made sure she had as much fun as possible. We fell in love with all the cute and super-friendly animals and had so much fun by the pool, playing table football, ping pong, etc. There were plenty of cozy spots where you could enjoy quality time in peace and privacy (for example Bali bed). The high-quality, rustic-style rooms were gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had, and we also really enjoyed the Pizza Night and Tuscan Night. Ordering lunch or dinner by the pool was also super relaxing and convenient. We highly recommend this place to everyone—families, couples, anyone—who appreciates beautiful nature, stunning Tuscan views, and the kindest customer service ever. I started looking for flights back to Tuscany just 30 minutes after arriving home. We’re definitely coming back as soon as possible! – Marjaana & family

There is nothing not to like. It’s near one the most beautiful villages in Tuscany - Anghiari - on the top of a hill, so when you wake up you see the town in the valley. The road to the location is better done during daylight, but once you get it down it’s not hard. Don’t follow GPS, but the directions they give you. The staff, the breakfast is top notch and if you can, get the Tuscany dinner. You’ll remember it forever. The place is an old franciscan monastery, with all the bells and whistles you could ask for. Everything was great, even though the house rules may seem harsh here and there. One of the best places I have stayed, I would go back tomorrow. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic place, such a beautiful location and old farmhouse, owners are amazing, we loved every minute and can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful experience. The location was great, view was fabulous, room was clean, comfortable and perfect, but what really stood out were the hosts and the food. Our flight to Italy was canceled and the airlines lost our luggage, so we showed up after midnight quite tired, hungry and grumpy and without any luggage, and Carine was amazing. She had saved our dinner (which was delicious), brought us loaner pajamas and pretty much bent over backwards to make us comfortable. She put smiles back on our faces for sure. And the food! The next night we participated in the barbecue. More food than one could possibly eat and everything delicious. Breakfasts were plentiful, varied and yummy. It was so peaceful and beautiful there. We were treated so well and ate very nicely.

It was perfect.

Caribe & Mario were amazing hosts. So welcoming, kind and generous. The breakfast each morning was the best we had in all of Italy! The bed was comfortable and the rooms and bathroom very clean and as pictured. I cried when we had to leave, such a beautiful location and the dogs and cats were a cherry on top!

Carine &Mario were such wonderful Hosts and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We were lucky to be able to enjoy a dinner 1 night of our stay, Mario is a wonderful Chef, best dinner for our 5 weeks in Italy, wish we could have had another night meal during our stay. Breakfast is amazing, so much choice. Meal deliveries good when dinner not available in house. A perfect experience in Italy, so quiet and relaxing.

Nothing to dislike

Everything was amazing and our expectations have been exeeded. It iwas a very cozy, cute and extraordinary stay at pozetto.

We loved everything about this place. The authenticity, location, food, all of the facilities. We are already planning our next trip here next summer!

The most wonderful place in the world. Amazing views and food.

We had such a nice stay at Il Potezzo. Carine and Mario (and their staff) are the greatest hosts you could wish for!! The views from anywhere on the premises is breathtakingly beautiful and we really enjoyed the organized delicious breakfasts/dinners and food delivery service.

Instead of fans, maybe it would have been nice to have airconditioning, but as the walls of the accommodation are very thick, the rooms themselves did not get too hot. The last bit of the road to Il Potezzo is a narrow gravel road which can be quite challenging when another vehicle comes from the other way towards you.

This was one of the best places we’ve stayed - ever.Everything was perfect!Charming staff, lovely surroundings could not have been better!It’s a beautiful location, very peaceful,located somewhere in the middle of the nature.Very clean and comfortable apartments. Food and service was excellent.We loved our stay.Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Everything was amazing - service, food, place, atmosphere. Owners Carine and Mario were for us in every time and ready to fulfill our wishes.

What a wonderful little slice of heaven!!! The view from every point is breathtaking! Hosts were wonderful and very welcoming. Our room was huge, a two story apartment with fully equipped kitchen and a window overlooking the valley. Dinner is a MUST! It was such an amazing experience, starting with aperitivo by the fire pit, and continued with wonderful food prepared by Mario! It was delicious!! Everything in the place is so well thought of, even little spots to sit and watch the view from. The jacuzzi with the best view was so fun, and being able to connect to speakers for music was a nice touch. Breakfast was also amazing, with such a big variety of food!!! And each morning Mario prepared something a bit different for us to try. We will definitely come back!!

Having never been to Tuscany, I wasn’t sure where was best to visit and how easy to it was to get around but I knew I wanted to be in the countryside rather than in Florence or Pisa. This hotel is in an amazing location, and they really undersell themselves. This is located on top of a small mountain so you have Panoramic views across the countryside. The facilities are amazing with a pool, jacuzzi, a bar, pizza oven and the restaurant facilities are beautiful. Every morning your are greeted with a buffet breakfast with fresh food and you can also request such things as scrambled eggs on toast.. and the coffee is to die for. From memory I believe 4/7 nights a week you have the option to stay at the hotel for food, one night was a fish night, the other barbecue and we missed the pizza party. Mario cooks all the food himself and I believe he came from a Michelin restaurant and you can tell as everything is so fresh. I would suggest eating there as much as possible as it’s also great value for money. There is a trust policy for drinks and purchases from the little shop where you write your name down but it’s all reasonably priced. We rented a car from Florence airport which will be essential for staying here as it’s approx an hour along country roads which again are lovely. I could continue telling you more great things but the reviews are not wrong and the property and the gardens are beautiful and I would recommend this place to anyone both a couple like myself and a family.

Very good breakfast

This is a perfect location to stay and relax in the beautiful Toscana. One will enjoy the perfect relaxing vacation away from civilization. Although in our short time we travel a lot to see other parts of Tuscany, we enjoyed every moment while at the property. Carine and Mario are two amazing people always smiling and go extra mile to accommodate one's needs. I definitely recommend to anyone.

There was nothing I can think of.

I really wish there was an option to rank with a 20 this accommodation. This location was truly one of the most phenomenal places we've stayed (and we have our share of travelling the world), a memory we will always cherish and keep close to our hearts as we would already like to return. The accommodation is up in the hills of Tuscany (close to Anghiari, a must see village if you are in the area). The road is scenery to get there (but make sure you follow the guidance the host will send you prior to your arrival as there are 2 roads and one is not really usable). We stayed in a spacious apartment (living room with 2 beds and a matrimonial room with one large double bed). There are pets on the location (dogs, cats, ducks, chickens), so many areas for relaxing and spreading around, a pool, a bar, tables and small chairs for having your coffee / tea/ drink. Everything is very clean and tidy. All this is possible due to the efforts and commitment of the hosts, Corinne and Mario - 2 amazing people who really went above and beyond and put their hearts out to create this magical place. The phenomenal food is so exquisite (both for breakfast and for dinner) that it's probably some of the best we've had. Mario is a great cook and such a friendly person. Corinne is the brain and the administrative part of the duo and she really had a wonderful vision she put in place - the attention to detail will blow your mind. Highly, highly recommended. This place will forever stay in our hearts and we appreciate the lovely conversation, the family mood they created with themselves as hosts but also with the other guests, their welcoming nature and their friendliness.
