How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

everything was perfect! the hosts were very nice and our entire stay in Florence was amazing. the location is 3 minutes from the train station and close to the city center. we will definitely come back again!

Cozy apartment close to the central station and all activities. We loved the fresco on the ceiling. The owners/staff were super helpful, effectively gave us all instructions, maps, advise; and even supported us by calling some vendors on our behalf as we could not call internationally. We also were able to store our luggage after check out.

The location was excellent. It was a short walk from the train station, restaurants, and everything we wanted to see. There was a laundry service available. The hosts were wonderful and helpful. The room was comfortable and very quiet. It had everything we needed.

The bathroom is functional but rather cramped.
Perfect ground floor location less than 5 minute walk from train station. Ideal base for exploring Florence. The owner Piero was so helpful providing map and listing of what to see and suggesting where to eat. Great Cafe just 25metre away for quick breakfast.

The location of Relais Florence was the real draw card but the owners made our stay. The recommendations for dinner were spot on and when one of our party became sick in the middle of the night the owners did everything possible to assist.

A little hard to find the property. No sign available but it’s not the hotels fault
Conveniently located. The hostess was great. Gave us a map and information to get around Florence even without asking for it. Let us store our luggage which was taken to our room after the room was ready. Room was complete with a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker

The room was comfortable and spacious and had everything I needed. My room was ground level and opened onto a peaceful garden. It was an oasis of calm in a crowded city.

Amazing! The host was so nice! He introduced us many good places to go in Florence. We spent two nights here, definitely will choose this hotel again if visit Florence again.

The room was very spacious. It had a coffee machine, an electrical kettle and a microwave. The owners are very nice people and give you recommendations to sightseeing around. The location is perfect. Near everywhere!

The air felt humid, but it could just be a byproduct of the weather on the previous days.
The hosts were exceptional. The location was great for us. The bed was comfortable and the room was well equipped.

Bed and room furniture is just average, not super comfortable.
Staff was super nice and pleasant, always willing to help. Plus, there is a nice coffee machine in the room and free capsules are provided. Place is in a nice location, just 2-3 walking mins away from the train station and 5 mins from Santa Maria Novella.

The ceiling of the room was scary
The bed was very comfortable, it was 5 minutes walking from one of Florence’s main stations, and Piero and his wife were extremely gentle.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.
peaceful, quiet, and a great staff. my room had doors opened into a garden. Love that! When I arrive from the airport I was very tired. My bed was comfortable and I had a very good night sleep. in fact, I might’ve slept a little too long lol. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was excellent. Looking forward to booking here again in the future!

When you arrive it s not very clear how to get in.

As are most hotels now, the price was a little high.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Within walking distance of Florence historical center. Clean and spacious rooms. Discount parking is very close.

Nothing I have no complain
The manager and his wife are very lovely and they explain you everything when you arrive and are very nice to talk with. The location is excellent, right next to station and close to main attraction of this amazing city. There is a microwave in the room to use. I enjoyed my stay, for a solo traveller it is what I needed
