Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Switzerland- noisy airco (functioning well) - my 'Airone' room was in front of the washing and drying machines, seemingly working day and night quite noisily, which was to be heard even in the room and on the little terrace in front of the room. I slept with earplugs. Also, I had a bit of a problem here due to us being a group of people staying in Gallipoli in different hotels and so I wanted to invte a friend up to the rooftop for a drink before going out, however there is a very tedious process of registering your guest and afterwards we were basically 'kicked' out of the hotel for putting our legs in the pool after closing hours (it was 21h30 and we were very quiet). So when I took a shower to get ready to go out, they called twice insisting that my friend should leave, which was ludicrous since they had his passport and I paid for TWO people in the room (while staying alone) It was most unpleasant and unneccesary. When I complained and wanted to move hotels the manager was very kind and polite and since I didn't want to pack my bags I decided to stay. But the next morning, three friends wanted to drink tea at my terrace and the same happened again, they felt being treated rude. And then a day later, no cushions were to be found on the deck chairs so I called and asked for them and then again the reception was arguing with me that there were indeed pilllow, which was not the case, so in the end they brought them up. The people are kind and I don't think they mean it bad, but it certainly didn't make me feel at home. All the other hotels where we stayed or where friends stayed (Palazzos Flora and Presta) did not have these tedious registration reports for having a simple drink with a friend. therefore I'd recommend to spend a bit more and go there (around the corner).
Spacious room Nice pool and terraces Outdoor breakfast Very good cleaning and kind (but inefficient) staff in general

United KingdomThe only thing I can think of is that we had to leave early on our departure date and an early breakfast couldn't be accommodated, which was disappointing given the cost of the hotel. I wasn't expecting anything extravagant, but a coffee and some yogurt would have been nice before the drive to Bari. Otherwise it is a lovely hotel.
Breakfast was great Beautiful hotel, the pictures don't do it justice.

United KingdomAs others have mentioned parking at the port (closest location) is tricky in July, can take a LONG time to find a space. Lots of lovely outdoor areas but only a couple have umbrellas or any shade so in 35/40 degrees plus the roof terrace and a couple of other areas are much too hot unfortunately.
Lovely boutique in a fabulous location right in the centre of the old town. Reception staff were excellent, rooms cleaned daily. Simple buffet breakfast but all fresh and always plenty, served on the terrace which was perfect.

SwedenThere is nothing negative to say about the accommodation, however, it was extremely difficult to park. There is a gigantic parking lot 2 minutes from the accommodation, in the port. It was always full and lots of cars looking for a place. One evening we looked for a place for almost 3 hours. Maybe it is easier when it is not high season. This search ruined our experience of Gallipoli a little.
A fantastic place in a very beautiful city. The staff were very accommodating and nice. They gave good tips and were quick to help with questions. Close to the city's small beach and lots of restaurants. We had a room with a private patio, which I recommend.

South AfricaThere were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The roads near the hotel are very narrow and I would not suggest you try to go and drop the bags at the hotel in your car. Make use of the pick up service from the port parking.
Lovely hotel spread around a few buildings with stylish courtyards and roof decks. The deluxe doubles were spacious with high vaulted ceilings and a private courtyard.

United KingdomOnly rated this a 9 instead of a 10 is because the pool wasn’t available otherwise, everything was perfect!
This hotel is truly beautiful. The staff are very welcoming and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Our highlight of our stay was the fantastic spritz we had on the rooftop made by the wonderful bartender (we didn’t catch her name) but she was extremely friendly and makes great cocktails! Thanks so much!
