Room was way too small for party of 3. I don’t think it’s fair when you pay for 3 people for the third person to sleep on the sofa- which did not leave any space in the living area.

Fabulous breakfast with wonderful high quality products, and options to please everyone. And all from a scenic overlook of the valley below; if only we had wings. The welcome and attentiveness of staff was also amazing. Warm smiles give the day a great start.

Everything was perfect. Just one thing we found a bit strange was what our waiter did with the red wine we picked two nights in a row. After opening the bottle and sniffing the cork and the fine he poured a significant amount of wine in our glasses and then twirled the wine to rinse the glasses. Then poured the wine in his glass and tasted it. After approving it, he walked away with his glass and what seemed like a lot of our wine. The waiter at the Michelin Star dinner event did not do that. We don’t mind losing a little bit of wine for tasting and proving but not as much as that gentleman took.

Nothing but perfection!

Phenomenal breakfast with many choices. Very high quality of produce and breads. A wonderful gourmet beginning to a blissful day. And looking out over the valley through trees was inspiring. The staff treated us as both friends and royalty.

After the bustle of Venice, Castel Fragsburg was a welcomed stop on our trip. The staff were friendly, professional, and thoughtful. The location was fantastic, particularly for day trips into the Dolomites. The kitchen was exceptional. And there were only 20 rooms, which meant a quiet, discrete hotel to share experiences with friends.

At the pool, there no service, to order drinks or snacks you need to either call via a phone next to the pool (so everyone hears it) or walk back up yourself. If food or drinks get brought to the pool this costs extra service charge which is a bit odd when you pay that much for a room already. Some staff seemed rather young and not that experienced

Simply put, this property is a paradise in the mountains, surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards, and amazing views. The grounds are well manicured with lush gardens, the rooms are luxurious and incredibly well-appointed, the restaurants are impeccable, and the staff caters to your every whim. I am counting the days until I can go back and enjoy more time there.

The room was very old with the old furnishing and equipment. Much needed major renovation and modernisation of all rooms but also facilities such as the pool area etc.

Just an amazing place, quite exceptional in every respect. Our plan was to stay here and visit the surrounding area. We parked the car and never left the property until it was time to go home. Already booked to return.

WiFi could be a tad more stable but honestly not having internet at all could’ve been even better in a place like this.

I woke up from a nap by the pool and realized it was probably the closest I’d been to a paradise. Birds chirping, trees blossoming, green valley below and snow caps above. The location is mind blowing. The staff is so attentive it feels as if they’ve known you for years. The restaurant is top notch.

There truly is nothing to not love about this amazing hotel!

This hotel is 5 star service from the welcome drink upon arrival to cleaning your windshield as you leave! The hotel is actually a very old hunting lodge that sits in the shadows of a castle. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely seating area and a gorgeous balcony. Breakfasts are included, and they had an abundance of choices. I would highly recommend enjoying at least 1 dinner on site.. The food is locally sourced and delicious, and it is also really special with true white-glove service.

Decor a bit traditional. The location is remote - up a very long and winding road and yet you can still hear traffic noise from the balcony because it rises from the valley. Some will love the seclusion but it means limited dining options locally (when you just want a chilled out meal not an expensive formal meal). The most special local restaurant option is at the very top of the hill, magic view and pure locally sourced set menu. Open only evenings and weekend lunchtime

Lovely breakfast with a view, loads of choice of food. Comfortable beds and a small but lovely sauna/spa area.

Staff in Restaurant was sometimes slightly disorganised. Some longer waiting times and wrong deliveries. Nothing major. Value for money for dinner was not optimal. Small amounts, highly priced. Pre-booking of wellness activities was partially ignored.
