How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There is one flight of steps up to the first floor elevator, it didn’t bother us but just be aware.
What a great location and fantastic friendly hosts! The room was perfectly comfortable in an old building with a large modern bathroom and wonderful shower. The AC worked great and the beds were comfortable. Again, the location was fantastic. I’d stay again without hesitation!

We enjoyed our stay and the property was as advertised. No complaints.
The location is fantastic. Walkable to many sights and close piazzas. Food and markets are close too. We met lovely 'new' friends in the common area and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The accommodations are clean and comfortable!

Overall, everything was very good, but the internet was quite slow, which was a bit inconvenient.
Our stay was very pleasant. The location was unbeatable, we were right in the heart of Florence, with many major landmarks just a five-minute walk away. One of the highlights was enjoying live music in Piazza del Porcellino, as our room was located just behind it, allowing us to experience the lively Florentine atmosphere up close. Truly a charming experience.

Very very minor but the towels they are using is not that great but its ok. I just want them to know. Also there was the stairs.

Nothing - it was the best stay in our extensive travels through Italy.
Perfect location - just a couple of minutes walk from the main tourist attractions. The room was large, beautifully decorated, comfy (large) bed, good bathroom facilities. A beautiful breakfast room was available to have coffee or tea and we could bring and prepare our own food. Our hosts were so very thoughtful and kind, recommending wonderful local restaurants, local tips etc. We will definitely return.

This is just personal preference: The bed was too hard, and since it was two single beds pushed together, one "side" (i.e. bed) was more worn in than the other, so it didn't really feel like a double bed - you had to choose one side or the other. But that's just nickpicking.
Anna and Francesca were both warm and welcoming. When I checked in, Anna gave me a map with tips for what to see and where to eat - to avoid bad tourist food. The room was spotless and a nice size. And the location can't be beat - right in the heart of everything. I would heartily recommend this guest house.

the location is close to the market where some people are singing and laughing late into the night. so prepare earplugs.

It wasn't really something that bothered me, but there is an Irish pub in the floor level of the building. So some level of noise can be expected up until at least 22:00 (which from my room with closed windows was not too loud though)
The room is right in the middle of the central hotspots. The recommendations of the staff at the reception with the gardens and viewpoints across the river were perfect but that goes for the effort in general. Both the owner and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

It’s on top of an Irish Pub which is sometimes open until the early hours of the morning, this was quite disturbing at night when you’re trying to sleep.
The property is in a great location, really central and easy to walk a lot of places.

Can’t think of anything I disliked
Terrific location, just steps away from the Ponte vecchio and other top sites. Wonderful host guest that used of a lovely kitchen/dining area to make/have coffee. The place had historic vibes.
