How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Just be aware of the stairs (my room was two floors up) if you have mobility issues, and the early checkout at 10am
Great place to stay in Ravenna in the old city. Nice room with balcony near everything you need, self check in and luggage storage

The apartment was located in the centre of the city, easily accessible from the parking (6 min walking distance). It was clean, with spacious rooms and a well-maintained bathroom. The staff was very friendly and talkative the morning after

Parking was a bit far if one were to have luggage to carry.
The location was absolutely fabulous. The house is a historical building, with lovely terrace, thoughtful details such a some books about the city, and air con, which was much appreciated in the hot month of July when we visited. Being in a limited trafic zone it was very quiet.

the location is superb and walkable distance to all major sites you’d like to visit. The place is super clean and comfortable. We have everything we need in the house. The host is very helpful and responsive to our questions/requests and recommended places for us to park and eat near to the house.

Close to all the siteseeing. Great suggestion to eat at the Passatelli restaurant. Nicolo was fast to respond to all our questions and allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours after checking out.

The location was great. Although in the center the rooms were quiet. Everything went very smooth. The host was very helpful and friendly. I will defintely come back!

The room is absolutely amazing! Great situated in the middle of the old town. Everything clean and prepared for guests, little balcony with the sunset view, magical staying.

I liked everything.
It is in the city center, the stuff is very friendly and they are very welcoming. The guy speaks English so it was easy to communicate. The poperty is clean and the rooms are very decent and have the spirit of some earlier times! Beautiful!

It was great to have a kettle to heat up water, but there were only thin plastic cups to drink out of, so we weren't really able to make us of it. Also, perhaps there are people who like a totally "contactless" check-in experience, and for those people this would have been 5 stars, but for us, having to check ourselves in online the day before, enter our data, and then let ourselves in with a lockbox and not be greeted by anyone felt a little cold. That said, our host answered all our questions in a timely and helpful way via text
Location was great, the room was spotless. Bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the nice teas and toiletries! We were very close to all the sites, and on a rainy night had a great meal at the Hostaria Pasolini a few doors down ... and they gave us a discount when we told them we were staying at Casa Aurora :) Communication on WhatsApp was clear enough

Top floor without elevator. There were stairs for the ensuite bathroom.
Nice location in a quiet street near the city's central square. Close to San Vitale. Cozy spacious room, with nice furniture. Large bathroom.

Excellent apartments. The only thing that guests with heavy luggage should take into account is the location of our class room on the 3rd floor (2 Italian), when you have to carry it up the stairs. But this is typical for almost all mini-hotels and we knew about it.
1- location almost in the very center, quick access to the main historical places 2 - very nice, neat and clean apartments 3 - spacious bathroom 4 - comfortable spacious bed 5 - kettle available We booked a standard 2-bed room.

Great B&B in the center of Ravenna. About a 15 minutes walk from the train station. Easy access instructions via WhatsApp. No breakfast but a good café just next to this place.

A bit noisy at night, but not too bad.
The location is perfect, right in the center. Just a few minutes walk from the most popular attractions, bars, and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. Great communication from the staff.
