The dinner menu at the restaurant was very limited. For a resort being on the water I would have enjoyed more seafood options. The only shell fish option on the menu was a fried option. A frutti de mare with risotto or pasta would be a nice option.

The hotel is in an excellent location on the beach with every amenity available.

    There's nothing to not like.

Everything. Amazing location close to the ferry port, the private beach, the food and drinks served at the beach was amazing as was the food in the restaurant. The view from our room was unbelievable and the whole staff were friendly, helpful and just top notch. It's the only place I'll stay in Positano

The beach is not a sand beach like you find most everywhere in the US. Instead it is round rocky stones and pebbles of various sizes making water shoes or sandals a must. That also true over at the main beach. As with many resorts there is a fee for use of 2 lounge chairs and umbrella - 30 Euros a day (9am-6pm) or 40 Euro's if you want front row. There is waiter service for drinks and food. As stated earlier if you have mobility issues, from bad knees to shortness of breath to physical handicaps you will be challenged if you wish to get around.

The Big plus for this hotel was that it is right on the beach. All rooms open to the beach and Sea. The open air restaurant and vine/flower covered patio areas are also open to the sea view on the upper level and a lunch type quick service restaurant is below. The staff from front desk to service personal to beach chair guys and porters are all excellent. English is generally understood but please remember it is their second language. Room was spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. in an odd design the shower is not in the bathroom but part of the bedroom area with shower door open to the bed. Do note access to hotel is only available by walking down 400 plus steps (no exaggeration) the same steps you must go up although you can use and elevator of a neighboring hotel to cut out about 150 steps if it's working. You can arrange with the hotel to have porters bring your bags up and down. We drove in from Rome and used a parking garage the hotel arranged. A pretty good buffet style breakfast was included with our stay that scrambled eggs, sausages, breakfast meats, fruits, and a choice of about 15 different pastries some that changed each day. We did eat a dinner at the Hotel was was not disappointed with pricing reasonable. You can walk from the Hotel to the main Beach and lower area of the town for shopping by way of a sloping path, both up and down, with about 20 stairs at the end in about 15 minutes. Anything other than along the main beach you need to climb an uncountable number of steps in every direction. Anyone with mobility issues will have extreme difficulties.

It’s not your newest or freshest hotel, but I actually liked the retro aspect. Great location, relaxing landscape with a beautiful beach and bay… the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was able to stay at the beach after my check out, and take a shower before leaving at 15:00…

    Sunbeds too expensive

Great location, easy to get to from the ferry, just a few steps. The path to the hotel is very beautiful, along the sea and in the shade. It's nice that they provide beach towels. There’s a good beach next to the hotel, though a bit pricey. There's also a very clean free beach. Check-out is at 11, so you still have time for a morning swim. And the breakfast is very good

    Perfect. No issues.

This was our favorite hotel we stayed in during our 2 week trip to Italy. Positano crowds are insance and this was a perfect retreat from the madness. Easy to get to from the port if you take a ferry. They have a porter service for no additional charge that makes it very convenient to get your bags to and from the port. Pupetto also has it's own beach club on Fornillo beach which we loved and felt more exclusive. As a guest you get the discounted rate, which is totally worth it. Much better beach than the chaotic Spiaggia Grande. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and accommodating. Nice view from the second floor looking over the beach and bay. They have a great restaurant where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with a beautiful view of the water. Especially liked the "Pupetto" pizza. Would recommend to anyone who needs a fab 3 star hotel in Positano without overpaying or feeling claustrophobic.

Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and the sight of the shimmering sea in all shades of blue – Hotel Pupetto was nothing short of magical. Our room overlooked the water, where the sea danced from pale turquoise to deep navy, and the view never got old. The location is absolutely ideal. Just a short 5–6 minute walk from the port along a breathtaking cliffside path, and you find yourself right on Fornillo Beach – quieter, less crowded, and truly serene. We swam in the sea every day; it feels cold at first but you adjust quickly, and it becomes pure bliss. Breakfast was classic Italian – simple and fresh. Hotel Pupetto is peaceful, authentic, and gently tucked away from the tourist crowds, yet close enough to everything. If you're looking for that perfect blend of comfort, nature, and Positano’s quiet charm – this is it.

    Nothing

Such a charming hotel on the beach, only a short walk to the center of town. Our room was large and very clean. The hotel recommended a parking garage for us to leave our car overnight and also sent their porters to carry our luggage down hundreds of stairs (and then UP when we checked out). The hotel even told us how to cut through another hotel to utilize their elevator to save many flights of steps. Their al fresco restaurant is lovely, and dinner was delicious. Unlike some of the other hotels in Positano, this one was reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

Excellent location! From what I can tell it is the only hotel in Positano that has its own beach club. Quick, easy walk to town. The breakfast each morning, although simple, was a nice touch. Very friendly staff. If you can swing it, upgrade to a room with a patio. Our terrace was very small and it would have been nice to have some more space to relax.
