We loved everything about the property!

Everything was modern and felt new, I liked that it was a smaller property with fewer rooms as we got a more personalised touch. The owner was adorable, so helpful.

A friendly one night stop over in quiet Piazza Armerina. Alessio is an attentive and interesting host, keen to use his excellent English. His B&B is a renovated historic building along a quiet but central street. There is no parking outside but we were lucky to get an overnight slot in a close by Piazza. Lucky because the town is built on a hillside ! We were on the top floor and there are a lot of steps! Arrival was by keycode but Alessio was on hand to help take luggage down in the morning. Our room was large, clean and very adequate for our needs as an overnight stay. Pricing is very fair. Alessio provides a generous breakfast with gargantuan stuffed pastries which certainly sent us on our way happy!

Third floor with two suitcases etc up narrow staircases too much but 15-16 century building what can you do? Needs to be warning of stairs or HELP to ascend. No parking even to unpack, had to go round 3 times due to intolerant drivers. Shower working but leaking showerhead.

Good situation in town. Breakfast and host very nice. Helpful host

A nice spacious room on a quiet street. Our host Alessio spoke excellent English and went over and above in helping us with recommendations and translations. He couldn’t do any more to help and was quick at replying on text. We had a good breakfast each of the 3 nights we stayed. The car park is close by and entering the property was easy.

Parking is not far but tricky to get to as there was a road closure near the property. There is no elevator which was not a problem but might be a consideration for guests.

The bed was comfortable, the host was very nice and provided a lovely breakfast of local pastry and coffee. He also arranged a dinner reservation at a good restaurant near the property.

There was no one there when we arrived, but he came in 5 minutes to let us in and give us the room. The parking would be hard to find if there was no help

He's checked out all the bakeries in town and gets fresh, delicious, local recipes for breakfast. He walked with us to find a parking place and helped with the luggage when we were leaving. He spoke English very well. He suggested a wine bar for a drink and a nearby restaurant for dinner, both of which were very good. We were visiting Casale del Romana, and it was a good place to stay.

The breakfast was incredible! The host, Allessandro, cooked a traditional Sicilian breakfast to his personal traditional family recipe. Amazingly unique and full of flavour - the best start to our day! Moreover, Allesandro picked us up from the bus station and took us with our luggage to the accommodation - an unexpected and very welcome gesture indeed when we called to say we had arrived early!

If you are travelling outside the tourist season, cross check any recommendation (I got directed to a bus service that had been suspended two months previously and to a restaurant that was "chiuso per restauro"

The think that makes this place great is Alessio (the owner). He will pick you up from the bus station, recommend guides and check what you want for breakfast and then get it for you (whatever the time). Location is great (less so in winter when the shuttle bus to the Villa Casale (the main sight in Piazza Armerina) is closed. Alessio also speaks excellent English and can arrange taxis, tourist drivers etc.

Laura met us outside the apartment. Check in was easy and we had the first floor room. The stairs are steep, but wide and straight up, so not a problem carrying suitcases. The room was lovely and big, with a big, comfortable bed and pillows. There was a desk and hanging space and a fridge. The bathroom was a good size and a lovely shower with lots of hot water. Everything was lovely and clean. There is paid parking close by. The cafes and restaurants are close by and it is a nice, safe area and very quiet. Close to all the tourist sites as well. Great breakfast, very fresh and there were savory and sweet options.

    Absolutely nothing!

We loved everything about our stay here hence this will be a long review ! Gregorio and Laura were great at communicating with us even before we arrived. Check in was easy, we organised a time with them so we could drive our car to the door to drop our luggage off and then go and park in the free car park nearby. Laura’s daughter speaks very good English and she welcomed us (along with Laura) with lots of information about what to see and do. The room is lovely , up 2 flights of stairs but they will help you if needed. It was a great size with a balcony which looked out onto the Cathedral. The bed was comfy and the room was so quiet (thanks to the double glazed door) that you couldn’t hear any noise from the street at night. Such a great location , a short walk to the local square where we tasted amazing local wine and cheese at the Enoteca Prodotti Tipici bar (lovely owner) and then went to Trattoria del Goloso for dinner as recommended by Laura which was fabulous. Don’t miss the incredible Villa Romano a short drive away - one of the more enjoyable things we’ve seen on our trip so far! If you have time buy a full ticket and see the ruins and museums as well (valid for 3 days). So interesting - you learn so much about the villa and the ruins and the town’s history. I would recommend at least 2 nights here , so much to see. We are only sorry we could stay longer ! Don’t hesitate just book! Oh nearly forgot - we could use the kitchen anytime to make tea (a must for me!) and breakfast was delicious!

pretty Beb located on a a small and quiet street. Warm welcoming by the owner, a kind lady always ready to give you any advice and illustrate the traditions of the old town. Modern and comfortable room nicely furneshed wit a red bike and old skis on the wall. Functional bathroom. Excellent breakfast with typical cheeses and sandwich ( the so called "pani cunzatu") and homemade cake.

The property sits on a road you cannot drive down, but we were not warned in advance. Piazza Armerina is quite a dirty town.

The room was large, clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Fabio carried our bags up to our room - just as well, there were 50 stairs. Breakfast was adequate but not very interesting.

In the presentation at Booking.com it is stated that the facility has free parking. This showed up to be a free public parking at the Piazza Falcone Borsellino; in front of the Despar shop, about 5-10 minutws walk from the Principe Giardelli. This worked well, UNTIL the day we were leaving (a Thursday). This was the day for the city market and when we came to get our car we couldn`t find it. We asked our host for assistance both directly at the B&B and by telephone. We are sorry to say that we are very disappointed over not beiing informed about this market/parking on Thursdays by our host. However, more disappointing was that they didn`t try to help us with the situation, they never came back to us or called us to ask us how we were managing. Only thanks to a very helpful local policeman we found the car. Due to this incident we got a fine for Euro 29,50 and were two hours late in returning our rental car; which costed us an extra days rent, Euro 65.

The breakfast was very good the first day, but the following days less and less food were offered. F.ex. the last day of our stay there were no yoghurt and no juice. The room and bathroom were nice, but the bed are not made by the staff. The Principe Giardinelli is situated in a narrow house in a picturesque, quiet street. Walking distance to restaurants and historical sites and churches. Be prepared for a lot of stairs to get to the rooms. (We had the room at the top.)
