The interior of the hotel is quite old. The bathroom was functional but uninviting. It took quite some time for the shower to get hot. When I turned on the airco, there was a bad smell.

The hotel is nicely located in the center of Lecce. A lot of restaurants and sights are close by. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great.

I booked a Privilege Room with a city/street view as advertised, but was given an interior room instead. Disappointed that my original booking was not respected.

The intense insisting regarding leaving our car keys to the hotel staff (which we did not oblige for obvious reasons), but we understand that some situations require vehicles to be relocated so we compromised to being available to move our car ourselves.

Rooms are spacious and clean, lovely breakfast, safe parking. This was our second visit to this hotel (we last visited in 2023).

Breakfast was adequate, though it would benefit from having a proper coffee machine to enhance the experience. Overall, the impression was that the hotel could use some updating, but the location, comfort, and friendly atmosphere still made our stay enjoyable.

The Mercure Hotel in Lecce is very well located, only a short walk from the historic centre, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. Our room was comfortable and spacious, which we really appreciated.

The staff were excellent, location very central for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. We ate at the bistro in the hotel as we arrived late, food and service were excellent. Received a nice unexpected room upgrade to superior room which was very large. Huge choice for breakfast, super fresh local food. While hotel car parking was full, there was plenty of on street parking directly outside the hotel, can be paid for simply by using a parking app.

Every staff we interacted with we always kind smiling and super helpful! We enjoyed chatting with the manager, Guiseppe who went above and beyond expectations to accomodate and meet our needs. We felt very comfortable asking for help and enjoyed sitting near the reception eating the lovely burgers and enjoying a drink during siesta time! Great location 7-10mins in a straight line to old town. Our beds were made by the time we returned in the early afternoon and everything was nice and clean!

Limited spread for breakfast especially for a 4 star international hotel. No Coffee machine and Coffee/tea & milk was served in jugs and specialty coffee(Cappucino/Latte/Epresso) have to order upon request. Fried Eggs/Omelette/scrambled are chargable. Simple spread of some bread, pastries & cakes, fruits, yogurt & cereals, bacon, salami & cheese. Location of hotel is away from the main attraction, old town, etc. Have to walk about 1km+ to the old town and shopping area and 2km+ to the train station, taxi cost around 20-25Euro. Hotel is an old building and the outer facade is a bit old fashioned looking though they have tried their best to upgrade & refurbish the interior & rooms, the sound proof problem between rooms was quite annoying, neighbour's flushing toilet, water running through piping and people talking next door....

Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Located in quiet street away from traffics.

Why don’t hotels serve fresh orange juice as standard ? Wld not recommend parking facility We had asked if hotel did parking and been told yes but clearly misunderstanding and our car left on street and we were charged thirty euros.
