Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe only thing beware of the steps ! We made the mistake of coming with suitcases and quickly realised it was going to take a while to bring our stuff up and down :)
Everything was perfect ! the room was clean, cozy and comfy with loads of space and super well decorated ! Felt extremely safe as 2 female solo traveler's because of the safety measurers. Amazing building, felt like we were in a castle and the location is absolutely breathtaking, even went for a swim in the river after crossing the bridge. The breakfast was also really good and varied. Very clean and overall would come here again !

United StatesNetflix didn't work - it kept crashing, the Wi-Fi kept dropping, breakfast options were limited, mini fridge in the room didn't work at all (although there is also a fridge in the communal area, so there was a backup option).
Absolutely beautiful place, comfortable bed, big balcony, great water pressure, modern facilities, effective air conditioning, peaceful, great communication from owners, access to microwave, plenty of recommendations for things to do in the area, beautiful walks around the house, easy self-check-in and checkout.

United StatesParking was a hassle due to the number of people spending time in the river by the rooms. Also, be advised you need to walk a distance on stairs to get to the building-it is not suitable for some people. That being said, the accommodations were worth the hike, and I would stay there again!
Beautifully renovated building, very clean and modern, comfortable beds, large room, neat location next to water, good breakfast.

AustraliaWe loved absolutely everything about Porto Di Clanezzo but some may not enjoy not being able to drop their bags at the front door. But Lorenzo is always available and happy to assist!
Unique modern redesigned stone villa. An authentic Italian country experience with all the whistles and bells. Our host Lorenzo and his team were incredible, very responsive, great English, great restaurant recommendations. Stunning location, a true hidden gem! Definitely worth the winding walk down the meandering stone pathway. We will recommend to all our family and friends.

New ZealandThis isn't mentioned anyhere in the listing, however regardless of where you are parked / get dropped off, you will need to take a 5-10 minute walk down a cobblestone path. The cobbles are extremely large making it nearly impossible to roll a suitcase down without completely destroying the wheels. So you need to carry your 25kg+ suitcases by hand the entire way which is an absolutely exhausting thing to do in 30C heat, worse when you check out and need to do it in reverse. If you have a car you might be able to repack into some carry-on luggage, but if you have been dropped off by a taxi then carrying all of your luggage down is the only option. Electric car charging is listed, I assumed this meant the accomodation had a carpark next to it, however this is actually a public 22kW BeCharge charger in a carpark at the top of the aforementioned walkway. Not really a problem but just something to know. Ironically the BeCharge app didn't work with its own charger, but EnelX did. The door locks are managed by a battery powered device that completely encompasses the lock mechanism. They are supposed to automatically lock after a time, but the one to the exterior didn't, meaning we had to manually press the button from inside and then quickly shut the door, or just use the inside door and then stand by the door waiting to make sure it shut and locked every time we left. I can understand the ease of giving people a code to get into the main lobby, but would honestly have just preferred a regular key to get in and out of the room itself. No real complaints about the property itself, these are just things to consider! The property was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite these points, hence our high marks! :)
The room was beautiful and extremely clean and despite not having airconditioning the room remained quite cool. Likewise the shared lobby/lounge/breakfast area was very clean, cool and stylishly decorated. The breakfast was very good with a lovely selection of cereal, fruit juices and charcuterie. Lorenzo's communication was excellent, he messaged us in the leadup to our stay, replied promptly to any questions we had and provided us with a detailed guide to the property before checking in. Parking is available at nearby public carparks which are cost-free and have plenty of spots available. The river nearby has a lovely beach which you can swim at and there is a small bar right next to the accomodation which makes for a lovely evening drink.

United StatesThe “three minute” walk down to the property is a little treacherous. Cobblestoned and steep in places. Our car park was a trip back up from the property so we tended to stay close to the site. This is not a dislike but: we would have liked to have met our hosts. It would have been nice to find out how they approached this renovation as we enjoy that side of reconstruction!
Beautifully positioned on the Brembo River. Renovation of this old fisherman’s cottage was cleverly done - it’s well appointed and very updated! Our room was huge! The view out the window was exceptional and so relaxing. Spent many hours hiking area around river. Many restaurants in the area are closed on Monday and Tuesday so be sure to check websites for hours.

United KingdomOur fault for not reading the PDF shared by Lorenzo, but be prepared for a small hike to the property from the car park. We recommend small suitcases!

United KingdomThe host Lorenzo sent me instruction to access to the bed and breakfast a few days before arrival, which made me feel peace of mind before my journey. The historical building was well preserved and recently converted into bed and breakfast by the host. It is right next to the River Brembo with a good view of Ponte di Corda. The bed and breakfast is about 10 mins walk from the bus station with easy access to/ from Bergamo city centre. Lorenzo was very kind and gave us a ride to Bergamo old town upon checking out. Good variety of breakfast.
