How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom wasn't clean. There were a lot of mold (black one).
Good location near all attractions. Spacious room with comfy bed. The windows were quite old but still works properly.

Unfortunately the wifi didn’t work during my stay though they were getting this fixed. The shower has some black mould in the grout.
Great location with lots of places to eat and bus stops nearby. The self check in was handy. Great having the fridge in the room and the aircon was a godsend.

Great location. Close to Termini station and also to the Colosseum. You can easily walk to all these places within 10 minutes. There is also grocery store nearby where you can get any essentials.

the room is too small
The room is a little bit narrow. But the staff is extremely helpful. It is very central and everything you are looking for is nearby. It is very nice that the teen station is close by.

The bathroom needs a bit of renovation! A shelf under the mirror could be useful, you barely have any space to store personal items. For most of the stay there was a constant bad smell coming from the bathroom and the shower was leaking because its doors were not attached to the wall properly.
The location was close om foot from most of the attractions, was quit and safe to enter! The room was exactly the one o booked, the bed was very comfortable and the young guy from the reception was always very helpful!

It doesn´t have Parking (you need to park on the street, which is always saturated, so you need to be very lucky to find a Parking slot available (also need to pay per day). In the other hand, the Air Conditioning was not working (but it was Spring Season, so not issue at the moment):
This place is very well located (15 minutes walking distance to Colesseum ), near Downton.

Since this was a work trip I really needed fast wifi and I'm happy that Portafortuna actually provided one. The staff was very kind and always available. I liked the location, well connected and with many restaurants in the area.

There was nothing that I really didn't like, the showerhead didn't work right at first but as soon as I reported it the staff brought me a new one!
We've arrived late at night but we easily checked in online and received very clear instructions to enter. The room was very cozy and spacious, I had a very comfortable night. The staff was very available and kind and I was happy with how quickly I received answers to my questions/issues!

RomaLove hotel was the best hotel on our trip in Italy. We didn't like the first room given to us, but the owner of the hotel offered a few other options. We picked one. It was clean and warm. The latter was the most important, because it was winter. No unbearable smells, no noisy neighbors. The receptionist was available 24/7. We are really thankful to meeting us the halfway

A bit over price I guess for a basic accomodation. A little more attention to the duvet and beddings please. I got some bites all over my legs.

Broken shower; its not really a queen bed but 2 single beds pushed together, so it would be weird travelling as a couple.

I was dissappointed to find that the “private bathroom” was actually across the hall and had to be locked and unlocked with a key. I would leave it open overnight as the lock was quite fiddly, however one morning I woke up to someone else using my shower from the family staying in the room next door. I found this quite uncomfortable as a solo female traveller. Please be warned if travelling solo that this bathroom is not completely private.
The location was excellent, walking distance to all of romes great sights but also close to the metro if preferring to take the train. The room was clean, considered and comfortable.

The front door handle to our room was broken and difficult to use (easy fix). The shower head was also broken (easy fix). And we saw a few ants in the room. If the staff spend a bit of time addressing these issues, the place will be perfect!
Easy to access, although 2 pins and a key card are required. Great communal outdoor space, accessible 24 hours. Comfortable beds with in room desk and refrigerator. Communal microwave oven provided.
