How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

no negative impressions
Very friendly stuff, comfortable rooms, perfect location, there is a direct but from Fiumicino to the place (5 min walk to bus stop). Beds are very comfortable, we could leave our luggage in advance before check-in time, Host replies to mails and inquiries immediately. I strongly recommend this place! We had unique experience in Rome, we loved it! The building is surrounded by cafe shops, restaurants and supermarket. We will come again to Porta Di Castello!

Lovely place to stay in Rome , close To absolutely everything, very clean, new and modern, suuuuuuper confortable. Best decision we could have made for our trip. The staff was super helpful.

Nothing to fault.
The communication prior to check in was excellent. The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Breakfast was a selection of delicious pastries. The hotel was also able to organise an airport transfer, making our final trip to the airport a breeze. Thank you so much! We will be back, next time we are in Rome.

Very clean, good location, in walking distance of the Vatican museum and many other places of attraction. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely croissants and coffee for breakfast.

The handle of the shower needed to be replaced, the rod to open the tap was missing.
Great location, comfortable and fresh croissants for breakfast. But mostly the air conditioning 😁

The only thing we missed was having a "common area" where we could stretch out a bit or have a drink and/or work.The space was so small for 3 adults... Also would like some more space to hang up clothes etc as we were there for a week. It was a bit chilly to have the radiators off tho
Location was great! Loved the corner coffee and bar - RIstorante Porta Castello. Borgo district was great for food and atmosphere! The rooms themselves were very quiet yet in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Roma!!. We used the buses because taxis would sit in traffic

I had a hard time sleeping on the thick memory foam pillows…not comfortable for me.
Great location, easy access, great auto lighting throughout hallways, quiet, clean.

The suites were so beautiful and clean. The staff was also very helpful and nice. The location is great, close to the vatican and other sights and alot of restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood to choose from

The place was very central, and it was easy to go to the main attractions in Rome using public transport. It was very spacious, considering that we were a group of 5. The staff was very friendly and even made our beds in the morning. Not to mention they have us crossiants in the morning. I would definitely recommend this place.

The description and pictures were deceptive. Our search parameters were 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. This unit came up as thus & didn't realize it was for a ROOM, not the entire apt. For a family with kids, it wouldn't have been an issue, but for two couples with no bedroom doors and bathroom access via a bedroom, it was a problem. No place to sit in the room besides bed, shared common areas.
Room was nice size, beds very comfortable, shower big and great water pressure. Attendant quick communication & assistance with airport shuttle.
