How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Unfortunately, I'm very sensitive to noise. Trains ran frequently by the accommodation so Consequently, I didn't get a good night's sleep during my stay.
The host was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The room was pleasant and clean.

A bit of noise from train station but not too bad.
Excellent location near the shoreline with incredibly friendly host who was trustworthy and considerate.

Lighting. Makes the rooms less cozy and more like a clinic.
I guess I was expecting more of a little hotel. A converted apartment in a mixed business building had me a bit confused. The building was clean. Had an elevator. The "Inn" was impeccably clean and so were the rooms and their bathrooms. There was some train noise but didn't disturb our sleep. The goodies available were very generous and gave us a nice breakfast. Greeter and owner were very friendly and helpful.

The outside of the building was a bit worn but beyond pleasantly surprised once we were inside. Didn’t have the tv set up yet but we were not around much.
Excellent location close to the beach, town and so many beautiful restaurants . Very clean with new bathroom. They went over and above having waters and breakfast for us to grab and go. Check in was a breeze and they accommodated us early. Great value!

Everything was perfect.
This place is located near everything, we just walked to the market, to eat, and just to look around. Staff was very attentive and quick to respond. They helped arrange everything with no issues. We loved it.

Need to close window due to trains going by. The bunk bed took up too much room.

I wish there was a safe for our passports, cash & jewelry but it seemed to be a safe area. The 10:30am checkout was a little early for us but they called a cab to take us to the ship and explained the cruise lines accept luggage at 10:30. It was a 15 minute walk back to the main area. Suggestion: take a taxi TO the ship with your luggage and walk back. The people dragging their luggage on the cobblestones looked stressed and hot!
Well located within a few blocks of the train station. We walked (with ALL our luggage) up the hill in just 10 minutes. We had been contacted ahead of time so we texted as the train was getting close to the station and were met at the front door. We were given directions to a few nearby restaurants a free drink coupons.

I can believe that for some people, the breakfast in the room is not so comfortable.
The host was super friendly, nearby the centrum off the city. And the tip to go to a very nice restaurant .(Mylord) And we got an upgrade of our room

Shower was in the bedroom so it was a bit tight with luggage but for a 1 night stay it doesn't really matter The air conditioning unit didn't seem to cool down the room much

We booked a ride from Rome Airport with them which was excellent. Sherry was there to greet us and Anna was there to check us out. Very efficient. Also, bed was SO comfortable and bathroom was very modern and gorgeous!! Highly recommend!
