A beautiful Tuscan retreat, the owners are lovely and very welcoming, the one bedroom apartment was great has everything required and is very comfortable and clean. Has a pool. By far the best place we stayed in Europe. Thank you Ettore and Dorata

Unfortunately, Ettore was unwell and so it was not possible to have breakfast which was completely understandable.

Beautiful setting and very nice room with stunning view. Ettore and Dori made us very welcome and we would certainly stay again. We used it as a base to explore Volterra and, in the evening, Dori recommended a restaurant in the country which she kindly booked for us; we enjoyed the meal there very much!

I wish we had stayed longer. Everything is super accessible from Volterra and I wish I had known rather than booking a night in Cicene for seaside.

Ettore and Dori were exceptional hosts. Along with their adorable pets (especially, Angelo the Retriever)! They've restored Podere Campiano so thoughtfully. Truly luxurious accommodation. And the views are spectacular.

We had an unforgettable time at this beautiful place. The location is simply magical – surrounded by the stunning Tuscan countryside, it feels like stepping into a postcard. It’s very close to the charming town of Volterra and perfectly located as a base for exploring all that Tuscany has to offer. Our hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming – we felt at home from the very first moment. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast made from local products, with the absolute highlight being Dorota’s homemade apricot jam – a true masterpiece! The attention to detail, peaceful atmosphere, and heartfelt hospitality made this stay truly special. We’re already dreaming of coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and soul-soothing Tuscan escape.

There is a lot of attention to detail with regards to making the room comfortable. The bed and sheets were also very comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was super with great coffee. The house is in a beautiful location with wonderful areas to sit and enjoy the view. But most of all, the hosts were so genuinely warm and welcoming. Can't thank you enough for a wonderful stay!

A perfect romantic getaway! This place is an absolute gem! The location is stunning—peaceful, surrounded by nature, and ideal for a relaxing escape. The house itself is a beautiful stone cottage, tastefully decorated with so much attention to detail. Everything was spotless and felt like home. The hosts were the kindest we’ve ever met—so welcoming, always available, and full of great recommendations on where to go, what to see, and the best local places to eat. Ettore and Dori are a lovely couple who have a beautiful place just outside of Volterra. The kitchenette and lounge area is spacious and separate from the bedroom and bathroom. There is a small washing machine in the bathroom. Aircon in the living room, and a dishwasher in the kitchenette. Beautiful grounds and a fantastic view. Would stay here again. Thank you!

The weather! It was a bit cold, rainy and windy, so not sure if there were sun loungers, would be good if there were.

The WiFi didn’t work well but I had 4G which was strong.

We stayed in an apartment which was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen area was well stocked with tea, coffee, lots of crockery and cups. The washing machine was very useful as we have a small child so could do his dirty laundry. The property is in a very convenient location, only 10 minutes from Volterra. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool and the gardens, having our breakfast with the views of the hills. Thank you so much to Ettore and Dorata for their kind hospitality and warmth! They were always super responsive and forthcoming with their recommendations.

Everything was enjoyable

Podere Campingano Is about a seven minute drive to the old town of Volterra. It is an easy drive and considering the busyness of Volterra during summer I was very happy to come back to this place to escape the crowds and have some peace and quiet. The Property has about four rooms into accommodation for guests which have stunning views across the Tuscan landscape. The hosts are absolutely delightful and are happy to help in anyway shape or form. They offered two types of breakfast (small or large). I had the large breakfast on both days which consisted of cold meats cheese, coffee, fruit and My Favourite croissant, pistachio cream. The room was spotlessly clean and so was the bed linen. The air-conditioner worked very well and the shower was also a good temperature and very clean. If you are planning a trip around Tuscany especially to Volterra I would highly recommend a car. Parking at the property was easy and stress free, no paying for parking as if you were staying in Volterra old town.

Ettore and his wife are such warm people that gave us a lovely welcome and made us feel at home. The appartement was nice and comfortable. We liked that it had everything we needed. For instance in the kitchen. The view is nothing less than spectacular. Really like you imagine Tuscany. So so pretty. It's a 10 minute drive from Volterra. Which has a lot of places to eat and is a gorgeous town to visit. We we here with our 3 year old daughter. She loved the two cats at the accommodation and swimming in the pool. We can really recommend staying here.
