The best apartment in Lake Como! We love our stay at Picobello Lago. Apartment is in really good location, near the beach, shop and city centre. The apartment is lovely and was decorated with great taste. The owners were very good to deal with — they answered questions but did not impose. They gave us some good recommendation about places nearby and it was nice to chat a little bit. The bed was very comfortable. This is our favourite place and we will definitely come back more than once. I will recommend it to friends and family.♥️

Very nice and friendly host. We received a warm welcome from Elena upon arrival. She even gave us detailed information about local attractions which proved to be very helpful. The room was big and comfortable. Parking was not a problem.

Lovely place to stay, Kaja was an amazing host and made us feel so welcomed. She provided lots of recommendations for the lake and how best to access places with transport and even provided complimentary prosecco for us to enjoy in the garden upon arrival. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the AC worked well. It Location was great, Mandello is a lovely area which didn’t feel overcrowded with fellow tourists yet was still easy enough to navigate to the surrounding villages. Couldn’t recommend this place more, would definitely come back!

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at this hotel! We spent a long time choosing where to stay and can confidently say we made the right decision. The location is fantastic. The hotel is situated in a quiet, non-touristy area, which allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of a small Italian town — with its own rhythm of life, culture, and traditions. The absence of crowds made it possible to truly enjoy the peace and quiet, accompanied only by the sound of birdsong. All major attractions are within easy reach, and the area has excellent transport links. It’s easy to get around by train, car, or even by water transport. The hotel itself is very cozy and comfortable. The rooms are spotless, with stylish and tasteful interiors. The fresh linens and attention to detail create a warm and welcoming atmosphere — you can really feel the care and heart put into this place. Staying in the room is relaxing and makes you feel right at home. We would especially like to thank the host for their outstanding hospitality. We received detailed recommendations on what to see around Lake Como, how to get around, and where to eat. Modern, cozy and clean house that includes both rooms and apartments. The were nice terracces and a common room that guest could use. Beach was just a few minutes walk away. The host Kaja was extremely nice and gave us tips on how to get around in the area. Everything was just perfect, we fully enjoyed our stay.

A superb welcome from a knowledgeable and friendly host was a wonderful start to a comfortable stay where we could relax and unwind in peaceful Mandello at the clean and stylish accommodation. The parking was free and in a parking bay at the apartment. We were given clear instructions to find the parking before arrival. Although breakfast is not included, plenty of information is given by the host for breakfast options nearby and the fridge in the room allows you to store milk for making teas and coffees. Everything was of high quality. There are a few seating areas available, indoors and outdoors, if you want an alternative place to relax. It was a very nice experience to stay somewhere so exceptional, a 5 minute walk from the lake.

Beautifully furnished, modern and the views from the room of the mountains topped it off! Kaja the host was lovely, welcoming and helpful. Aircon in the rooms and a free drink brought up on my arrival. 100% would stay again!

Amazing apartments, everything is designed for the comfort of guests. Very clean, tidy. Even the towels are changed according to everyone's needs. Several shared terraces, parking space. The beds are very wide and comfortable, all necessary household appliances, air conditioners, coffee machine. The apartment is very close to the lake, there is a beach and cafes right next to it. Very friendly and kind hosts, welcomed and escorted as guests. Gave us a lot of information about places to visit, transportation, etc. kept in touch. The time spent here was amazing! We recommend!

No remarks! All good Remark on the town: less suitable for taking the ferry to multiple towns on the Lake.

- Kaja is a super host! Very helpful and kind - beautiful modern appartement with nice view. Also and option to sit in the garden. - walking distance to Mandello restaurants/stores/beach - Very easy train connection to Milan.

Everything at Picobello Lago was perfect - the room was exceptionally clean, the extra sofa bed was comfortable and easy to pack away, good wifi, and there's a lovely garden and terrace if you decide to use the kitchen to make your own meals. Elena was a great host, she sent us lots of recommendations for food options and shops nearby and was responsive by text if we needed anything. She and Kaja also helped us to plan our onward travel during train strikes. The town itself is a great stop for visiting Como - not too touristy and it's easy and cheap to get a ferry to Bellagio or a train to Varenna to see the larger towns.
