The couple and the staff running the house were incredibly hospitable and welcoming. They attended to all our needs and are great local guides. The house itself is beautiful, it's based on an old quarry and the scenery is epic. Its history is fascinating also.

Nothing! We wished we stayed longer!!!

Wow! Where do we start? The grounds, the perfect location (10min from Lecce and 30 minutes or so to the most incredible beaches), the large and charming room, the gorgeous breakfast...just to name a few. However, it was the hosts Susanna and Jacopo who made our 2-week holiday in Puglia one of the most memorable and special to date! Their attention to detail and hospitality were second to none. We felt truly spoilt and looked after: a real Salento experience. The bed was so comfortable and the mattress perfectly firm, particularly for me as a front sleeper. The bathroom was large and the shower pressure was perfect too! We want to go back at the first opportunity!

We had the best time staying at Petra - Country House. It is such a stunning building and garden where we felt really relaxed. The breakfast was also amazing and had everything you could wish for. Plus: Susannah and Jacopo were genuinely the nicest people and so welcoming which made it a great experience to stay there. We really enjoyed Jacopo's recommendations for things to do and had so much fun following them. The dogs were also really lovely. We were sad to leave after only three nights but we will be definitely coming back!

Love Petra Country House! Zuzi & Jacopo were amazing hosts & gave us all the best tips for Lecce from design stores to restaurants (& a fabulous walking tour with Clothilde). They sent us all the details on where we needed to go around Salento so we’ve had the best time. The rooms are beautifully curated by Suzi who’s also an amazing designer, the breakfasts delicious. We’ll be returning for sure!

We loved the property but sadly the 3 nights we were there we had mosquitoes as there had been rain at the beginning of September. Apparently there hadn’t been any up till that point during the summer, so I guess we were just unlucky. We realise this is out of hosts control.

The location was excellent. Close to everything in Salento, minutes to Centro Lecce. Our hosts gave us many options for dinner plus set us up both days with beautiful coastal hikes. Breakfast was delicious every morning! The room was absolutely gorgeous.

It was mosquito season, no fault of our hosts!

Our hosts were extremely helpful and enthusiastic and went above and beyond our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble from preparing aperitivo to helping make reservations and giving local recommendations. They have put so much passion into their home.

Honestly everything was perfect. From beginning to end we enjoyed everything. The accommodation itself with high walls, very clean, spacious, beautifully furnished and comfortable. The lovely garden with multiple places to relax. The swimmingpool and breakfast. Wow the breakfast!! And also the people & staff made our stay even better. With only 4 rooms you really have your own space to chill. Finally the dogs were the cherry on the cake :) recommended to all my friends and hope to come back once.

Absolutely highly recommended place for staying in Salento. First of all, unbelievably friendly hosts — Susanna & Jacopo (guys, once again thank you very much for that experience), quite comfortable room with all necessary facilities (especially bed — sleeping like a baby), prosperous area to feel relax, amazing breakfast, good parking space, unique stylish design (natural beauty is underlined in every detail), very close to both seasides (Adriatic and Ionic). Do not hesitate to stay here, it is a wonderful choice.

What an amazing experience at Petra! Its a beautiful house where you inmediatly feel at home. Susanna and Jacobo were amazing and friendly hosts with a ton of recommendations for Puglia (and other parts of italy ;)) they are very thoughtful and present in all details. The decoration and nature are perfect and we will definitly come back.

Lecce was our last stop on vacation, and we enjoyed the most. The place is near the city, very calm,quiet and peaceful. Every corner of the house is done with style. The swimming pool is on perfect spot for enjoying the day before having delicious breakfast. The dogs are very friendly and the hosts are the super couple who love life and what they are doing. If you are considering visiting Lecce, this should be your first choice of venue. The property is a slice of heaven. Its gorgeous, has everything you could need and more, with only a 12 min drive to the city centre. The hosts also went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we could want. The breakfast was outstanding. We simply can't wait to return. Perfect!

We were three couples visiting Puglia for a week and this evaluation is valid for all of us. Petra Country House is a splendid old villa situated a few miles to Lecce, in the middle of a large, forest-like garden, run by a most charming young couple, Susanna and Jacobo. İt is very conveniently located for day excursions in the region. The rooms are large, high ceilinged, very confortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast, served most of the times in the garden is fabulous and the coffee real good!...Susanna and Jacobo are very pleasent hosts. They are very helpful in giving advise about places to visit and to eat, even making reservations when necessary. They have two friendly dogs. the playful Golden Retriever Semola and the ittle shy Lenticchio that adds to the charm of the place. All and all a most recommended place to stay and enjoy in Puglia.

No windows in the rooms, just a big door opens to exterior yard. not ventilated enough.

Facilities are in a newly renovated old villa, conveniently located for day trips. Very quite location full of bird sounds. Big rooms, very clean, comfortable bed, hosts very cooperative and gave very helpful advise and suggestions regarding points of interest and local restaurants. On location free parking. Drive to downtown Lecce is few minutes. Very good breakfast. Free 24 hrs coffee machine in communal room. newly built swimming pool and relaxation area. A very good value for money.

Hosts! Hospitality in this place was awesome. You have a chance to know better history and problems od Salento. And You get long list of great recomendations from Susanna and Jacobo. Design of rooms is very clever. We was in Roman room. Other rooms link to other parts of Salento history. Place is connected well with mainly Salentos attractions.

one of our best stays for sure. the atmosphere of the place the owners everything just clicks together. Rooms are beautiful and nicely decorated, the whole place is just peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast is best that we had in whole Italy! Ask for Jacopos omelette! amazing! This is truly a gem and you can feel that Zuzi and Jacopo put their souls in the place. And Semola the golden retriever just was the cherry on top <3
