Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

It was a beautiful home in a very safe area. There were a couple of restaurants within a short walking distance.

Nothing, it was great.
Fantastic location, very close to the airport, plenty of parking, great nearby restaurants. The host Peter is amazing - great communication and so welcoming.

Peter was very nice and met us at the house to show us around. He even provided us with someone who could pick us up and drop us off at the airport. We were only there for one night but one of the nicest places we stayed in during our trip to Italy. Would highly recommend.

Nothing it was great
Peter House was a fantastic place for our last night in Rome. The host, Patrizio was very accommodating and welcoming. He arranged our transfer to the airport the next morning and also made us a dinner reservation (we arrived late) in a very cute, local trattoria which served reasonably priced yummy food. The home was fully air conditioned and all necessities were provided, including juice, tea and coffee and pastries.

Conveniently close to FCO airport, clean and good for family of 5 flying out next day. Great recommendation for local food. Responsive to messages. Enjoyed the snacks provided as breakfast. Easy street parking for our rental car.

The appartment was very clean and priceworthy. Even though it was situated close to the AirPort, there was no disturbing noice inside. We had a good nights sleep before early flight. Our children loved the breakfast snacks. The owner also helped us arrange a taxi/transfer to the AirPort. Perfect over-night stay!

The area is not very lively but nothing really bad. It was a bit difficult finding initially but when we realized it was on the other side of the same street it was simple.
The place was close to the airport, very well equipped, good shower, nice beds, clean, there was a supermarket at a 10 min walking distance. Some nice breakfast items were provided which was nice before the flight. The host was very responsive and friendly :)

People should just be aware that this little area by the airport is a bit of a mixed environment. Some homes like Peter's are well cared for while there was what looked like an abandoned property next door and a vacant lot across the street. We felt safe but travelers might be surprised by the neighborhood.
Peter was very gracious meeting us. Our GPS had us on the wrong side of the street and he was very diligent about connecting with us. His house is adorable! It is so clean and comfortable and everyone had a good night's sleep. It is clear he has worked hard on this house. He stocked the refrigerator with milk for the coffee which I really appreciated. We were only here one night before flying out of Fiumicino. It is very close to the airport and close to food options for the evening. Peter had left good recommendations for dinner and an excellent gelato shop.

There are 2 TVs. One in each bedroom. I would suggest relocating one TV to the living room.
Very clean, updated modern new furnishings. Very comfortable.
