Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBecause of its slightly remote location, you do need a car.
It’s a beautiful oasis on top of a hill. The grounds, rooms and pool are maintained to high standards. It has a really good vibe and atmosphere. We stayed in the junior suite and absolutely loved everything about this place. Will definitely return again. Even though it was fully booked, it didn’t feel overcrowded or too busy.

United Arab EmiratesNo strong dislikes. But little remote from Aci Trezza coast and centre, but that made it also a quiet place.
Nice breakfast, friendly staff, nice rooms, beautiful pools.

United KingdomQuite limited menu for dinner and small portions for those prices. The food was nice but we left a bit hungry. It might be good for some people, was just not our vibe. Would recommend going to nearby family-run restaurants instead that are not too far from the hotel and offer some amazing food quite a bit cheaper!
Nice pool area, lovely terrace with a view of Etna, where we spent quite a bit of time! Breakfast was quite nice. Staff are very lovely and helpful. Location is good if you have a car, there is a shop nearby and also some restaurants a few mins away by car. We had some lovely dinners not too far from the hotel. Overall, quite a chilled atmosphere in the hotel, whether that's the breakfast buffet, the terrace or the pool. The pool is quite small but enough for an afternoon dip after a day trip. The room had good air con, comfortable bed and a little garden terrace to read a book or chill (bring mosquito spray)! We stayed for 3 nights and that was a good length of time to stay.

HungaryIt will be better with more sun umbrellas at the second pools. Last days we see a lot of ants in the room, but after cleaning room its gone.
Good breakfast with egg dishes, bacon, sousages, croissants, and more, with a perfect coffee or cappuccino! The second pool was a perfect, calm place for the sunny days!

PortugalThe hotel staff is thoughtful and everything was very above our expectations. We were received with free welcome drinks and got a free upgrade to the Junior Apartment which was much bigger than we originally booked. The pools are great and clearly they are very careful with maintaining the property. The Rooftop truly is the hidden gem: great views to Etna and the sea. It is very unexplored which for us ended up being a plus because we got to tan and enjoy the views completely by ourselves everyday. The breakfast is OK, not much variety but the quality is good enough.

RomaniaWe received a free upgrade, which turned out to be a spacious room with a large terrace, a cozy living room, and a compact kitchenette. The room was spotless, inviting, and incredibly comfortable. There were two pools, a delightful breakfast, a charming rooftop, and a breathtaking garden. Everything was exceptional; the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive.

Breakfast was excellent, lunch was pretty good and averagely priced. Dinner was very average and quite expensive so not really worth it in our opinion.

MaltaUnfortunately getting to the hey means driving through the unpleasant streets of Catania but nothing to do with the hotel itself
The rooms were very clean, staff was very attentive. Breakfast was very good. We also had dinner in the hotel ready which was excellent as well as one of the other restaurants owned by the hotel which was a 10 minute drive away.

EstoniaThe water from the shower flooded the bathroom. The pool is not quite as big as it looks from the pictures.
The best thing about this property was the room. We had the jacuzzi in our terrace that we used a lot. There was plenty of room for 3 people. The food at the restaurant was very good.

BelgiumAbsolutely blow away by this hotel. We booked two rooms for 5 nights as a family, one suite with jacuzzi and one with sea view. Both were top notch. The feel and vibe of the hotel are exceptional. A real exotic place, like a luxurious villa. There are not too many rooms so it is never too crowded. The staff is super nice and will always help the best they can with all requests we had. Tarmina is 30min away, Catania 20 min. We both wanted to visit the towns, find beaches and just stay and enjoy the hotel and there could not have been a better choise for us.

United KingdomThe kitchenette could have done with some tea towels or kitchen roll and perhaps some washing up liquid and a sponge. We used this area quite frequently for lunch and these items were definitely missed!
The hotel had everything we needed - lovely, spacious apartment with lots of storage and a very large bathroom and balcony area. The pool was great after a morning of sightseeing, with plenty of sun beds. If you have a car, this property is perfectly located for visiting the surrounding areas with a secure car park. There’s a supermarket just up the road which was really handy. It’s also a short drive to the nearest train station, which we found very useful for travelling into Catania city centre, if you’re not keen on driving there.

GermanyIt is a quite hotel. In the morning, when staff and guests are outside the room, it is not very well soundproofed though.
Nice and modern Hotel, very safe with own parking space. Had the room with ocean view. It is relatively close to the Etna Cablecar-Station, had a blast doing the complete Etna Tour. Breakfast is standard, no specialities.

ItalyDefinitely requires a car for exploring as there is very little available in the local area. We were slightly confused as to why the windows in our bathroom weren't covered or frosted. We were also initially surprised by information in our room stating that fairly basic things such as using the coffee machine and the kitchenette would come with an additional charge, but we were not charged for this in the end.
Large, clean and functional room with a nice view of the sea. A great rooftop space with views of both mount Etna and the sea. Friendly and attentive service. Good breakfast. Safe and easy parking. Clean and modern setting.
