How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We would have liked if the kitchen was better stocked, a coffee maker would have been appreciated, but lots of great cafes in the area. We were suprised that there was no papertowel for the kitchen area. Overall, everything was great with our stay and we would consider booking here again.
The location was great, close to the beach, shopping and other attractions. We loved the outdoor pool area, a great place to relax and cool off after a long day of exploring. We had a small issue with our first room, but the staff were excellent and handled the issue immediately by getting us moved into a new room quickly. All the staff we encountered during our stay were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and we appreciated the large deck area.

The property is tired and needs a revamp. Does the job - would we go again, considering everything on the Amalfi is so expensive- yes. The staff were excellent, very helpful.

Facilities are a bit dated, especially in the bathroom. Rusty fixtures. Also in the kitchen, no wine glasses.
Great location, check in staff were very helpful. Apartments are spacious.

Wi-Fi doesn't work well. The sink drain didn't work well in the bathroom. For 6 days, the room has never been cleaned and towels have not been changed.

That I had to pay extra for the cleaning of the apartment. So for a week I didn't get clean and I didn't change my linen. I think this should be specified when booking. That cleaning during the stay is not included in the accommodation price.

There was ony 3 wine glasses, not anymore regular for water and any other drinks. Lack of any kitchen towels for hot stuff.
Very close to the beach(2-3 minutes of walking). Big and comfortable apartment with very well equipped kitchen. Swimming pool is big enough,with sunbeds and umbrellas.

I didn't like that the rooms weren't cleaned the entire time we stayed. Also, they didn't refill supplies (i.e. we had to buy our own toilet paper and the towels were never replaced). We had a broken light when we arrived and even after mentioning it to the hotel, it wasn't fixed the entire 5 days we were there. Also, the wifi is terrible in the rooms.
The Angelina Residence was a great place for families. The apartment style rooms were very spacious. The location is great. It was very clean when we arrived and the receptionists were very helpful. It was great having laundry facilities available.

The air-conditioning was not working in the room. After a lovely day out in heat returned to no air con. Spoke to reception who sent a handyman who can looked at it and said he'd be back. He never returned. This happened again the next evening, never returned and nothing was doneon day 3 I went to the manager to complain only to be told sorry and do I want to move? It was our last night, my frinds were in 3 seperate apartments next to me. I told her no as it was my last night. She offered us a free breakfast for our inconvenience. Did'nt appreciate the last minute gesture as it did dirupt our trip and we were only there 4 nights.
Clean apartment, close to shops and beach. Great location for restaurants and transport.
