How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I would have liked an electric kettle and tea (glasses, sugar, coffee, tea - etc).

Housekeepers took our towels without giving us new ones. The staff wasn't very friendly. When we came to take our luggage from the storage, after we did check out, the receptionist didn't let us go to a bathroom (we are women)

The sheets and towels were stained; they weren't clean enough. They need new towels and sheets.

Bathroom water heating wasn't working on the second day. I don't know whether they have turned it off or a technical fault. Night time receptionist has a lot to improve.
Great location and friendly staff during day time. Common kitchen was available.

Great Location - It is close to the city centre, and has easy access touristic places with bus. AC - AC was a must in Roma, and ours worked without a problem.

There are stains on the sheets, which makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.
The staff are amazing. The lady with the headscarf helped us check in, and we left our luggage at the front desk in advance. Great service.

Lot of noise during the night but that’s the price of living close to the centre.
Everything was great starting from checking in. The staff is very nice — on the day of our departure they let us keep our luggage in the hotel which helped a lot! The location is great. Termini, supermarkets, pizzerias and cafes. We like to walk a lot so we took the train only once. You can easily get to all of the sightseeings by walking. Grazie mille once again!

The air conditioner is positioned so that it blows directly over all the beds, which made it unusable during our stay in the room.
great location near Termini, bus stop in front of the apartment, metro in 2 mins walk. Nice, clean room.

AC was minimal ( we booked here because of the AC and how close it was to Termini Station) We had to rig the shower head up with a plastic bag to stay in place to shower. Luggage is not locked up- just placed in a back room( we just took our important items with us before check in. No ice available.
3 blocks from Termini Station- very convenient for metro, grocery store in the basement of the station, bus stops very close As well as many reasonably priced restaurants! At night locked gates to property. Fresh towels daily. Check in is 1pm! Amazing as we took the overnight train from Paris!

We had a nice experience. Our room was located in the same building as the reception, on the first floor. It was clean and quiet, with air conditioning and a mini fridge, which is great if you are staying during the hot summer days. The staff at the reception were super nice to us. The location is great, quiet, very close to Roma Termini, where you have a supermarket and numerous restaurants, as well as the metro, trains, and buses to move around the city or get from/to the airport or other cities. Overall, considering the price, location, and facilities, it's a great option. I recommend it.

The neighborhood was dangerous to walk after dark. Staff could have been more polite or maybe less overworked.
It was very clean and the room was refurbished. Very spacious . 10 mins walking distance from the termini train station. Very safe building.

We couldn't extend our checkout time; that was a bit disappointing. We also had to resupply our hygienic supplies daily.
Overall it was wonderful for the price. It was quite comfortable for 2 people. The balcony view also complemented the experience.
