Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandTwo small inconveniences were relatively small kitchen (especially small fridge) and not the best soundproofing of the other room (behind the wall)
The city of Fermo was a huge positive surprise to us - everyday something interesting was happening on the main square (dance party, car cinema, theatre, sport contest, etc.). Palazzo (we had an apartment in refurbished stable) was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Aircon worked very well, bathroom was top class.

United KingdomThe rooms are tucked away on a private court yard and ours was enormous. Furnished in elegant antique style. The bed was very covetable and our room was immaculately clean. Great staff to welcome us and check us in. Great coffee in the room and juice boxes and Melba toasts with little jams to start us off in the morning.

United KingdomGreat location, Comfortable large bed, large clean, historic, spacious room that was nice and cool even though it was very hot outside, complementary waters in the large fridge freezer...... We had a late flight and the owner kindly let us come back to the Palazzo after checking out and use another room to shower before our journey. This was so kind as she had to arrange for someone to make a special journey to let us in.

United StatesThis was the best apartment I ever lived while traveling. Very spacious rooms with vaulted ceiling. My unit located at the 3rd floor, with awesome view of the beautiful hills and the old town. It also has a large balcony. The host is very nice and decent. She helped me on finding the power adapters (she bought them from Porto San Giorgio and sent to to my room - free to use). I can’t complain anything of this property. If possible, I would like to come and stay in the same unit again in the future!

United StatesThe layout of the space was quite strange, with a huge bedroom in what must once have been a sitting room. The second sleeping space was separated from the kitchen space (fridge, microwave, kettle, pod coffee maker) by a cupboard.
The location is very good, right in the center of the medieval city and there is even more-or-less legal parking nearby. The place was spacious with plenty of beds to choose from. Plentiful supply of coffee pods and tea bags. Great Wifi. Easy walk to several restaurants (recommend Ristorante Emilio just down the street). View through an archway out to the valley below.

ItalyAttention, every move costs extra, cleaning and new towels 10€per day and person. This was not mentioned on booking.com. Otherwise their price would have been in the middle. Tricky. Next time bring the batteries for the remote of the tv, jocking.
It was the cheapest offer on booking.com.

ItalyThe was no housekeeping at all which was known since the beginning but we were hoping that at least the mugs of coffee would have been replaced but maybe I’ve not read all the instructions properly :-) Being an old Palace the windows are not “sound proof” and at night the room was a bit noisy. Air-Conditioning is missing and on hot summer nights this might be uncomfortable (fans are available in the room).
The Palace is astonishing in the heart of a medieval village. Our room was actually a small apartment!

United StatesThe room was so dark that parts of the room were unusable until we repositioned some of the lamps. We were on the lower floor and the windows were covered so there was no natural light. Parking was difficult as the streets are narrow and the town on a hill.
Our room was large but rustic and oddly furnished - the space was formerly a stable. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was not included but some snacks and coffee were available in the room. There are several interesting things to see in Fermo (museum, theater tour, and cistern tour) and the room is a short walk from the city center.
