From the moment we stepped through the doors, we felt as if we had been given the choice to experience life as emperors. The lady at reception went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even offering us a private tour of the property, where she explained the fascinating art and decorations that make the Palazzo so unique. The spa was equally impressive – a serene, beautifully designed space where we enjoyed complete privacy and relaxation. As the day came to an end, we moved to the rooftop terrace for sunset, sipping delicious cocktails while gazing at the Duomo and the enchanting cityscape. When the sun set and the lights illuminated the property, the artwork and warm atmosphere created an even deeper sense of calm and elegance. Palazzo Maresgallo is more than a stay – it’s an experience to treasure.

Beautifully presented hotel in the middle of the old centre. Added bonus was the lovely outdoor pool and surrounds. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast.

My stay at the hotel was truly exceptional — one of the best experiences I've ever had. Every detail reflected warmth, care, and a genuine passion for hospitality. The property itself is stunning, a beautiful blend of history and thoughtful restoration, with every corner telling a story. A very special thank you to the owner, whose kindness and attention made my visit unforgettable. They went above and beyond to cater to my dietary needs, and took the time to share the rich history of the place and all the love and effort that went into bringing it to life. It was more than just a stay — it felt like being welcomed into a home full of heart.

Palazzo Maresgallo embodies the very essence of Lecce! Each and every thoughtful detail has been lovingly curated, and it shows. While the quality shines, there is nothing pretentious about this beautiful hotel. It truly feels like home, particularly if your home is a former Italian palace…wink. I would also add that photos do not (and perhaps cannot) do adequate justice to the layers and quality of finishes, linens, and original art. I have had the privilege of staying at some amazing hotels, and Palazzo Maresgallo now rates chief among them. If a room with a terrace is available, it is worth the splurge. I will return to Lecce for the sole purpose of staying again at Palazzo Maresgallo. What an unforgettable place!!

Amazing property, with spa, just in the historical center. Offering pass on debarking the luggages, parking service and even transport to the car on rainy days. Can prepare breakfast for to go & facilitate smoothing things all around. Exceptional stuff, beyond words.

The staff at hotel were outstanding. The hotel is a magical experience. The pool area is like a little bit of heaven. Also so easy by car rental to get to thd many beaches nearby. Breakfast was abundant and delicious
