Everything was amazing; location, room, and staff all high quality. PD: If you are a gym junkie like me, don’t think it twice. Hardly to find hotels with gyms like this one across Europa. No excuses!

The doors specifically in our Apartment (there are three) were in a very bad condition. The bathroom door couldn’t be closed properly. We didn’t mind too much, other guests though would be very unhappy about this circumstance. The balcony was very dirty.

The breakfast was one of the highlights. Palazzo Maqueda guests are treated to breakfast next door, at the even grander Palazzo Santamarina's rooftop breakfast penthouse, with amazing food and a fabulous view.

All we can suggest is lower towel hooks that are presently most suitable for basketball players. Really very minor.

This small apartment is part of a historic palazzo, and very tastefully restored. Superbly positioned in the heart of the old town, offering easy access by foot to all the main attractions and good restaurants. A lovely apartment at the back of the building, so quiet, and all amenities provided. Can strongly recommend it to anyone who is able to climb a few stairs. Difficult to access by car, but good bus connection to the airport. Get off at Via Roma and 5 mins walk. We’d gladly return.

Because it’s a self-contained unstaffed with three rooms, little things irked - the key system didn’t work so reverted to old fashioned pieces of metal, I couldn’t work the coffee machine (no instructions although I’m sure they would have helped straight away) and I’ve still no idea how to switch the lights on in the staircase, which added an extra element to a trip out in the evening. These are really small things though, and I would recommend Palazzo Maqueda as a great apartment option.

Right in the centre of the action but still remarkably quiet when you’re there. It’s an impressive renovation of a historic property with lovely modern facilities. The unusual bed on a mezzanine added an extra touch of glamour! Great aircon as well. The team was very responsive and in all it was a good place to escape the heat and madness of the city centre.

We are fit and able so the steps to the lodges didn't bother us, but may not be good for the less able.

Staff were exceptional. Facilities were amazing. I would recommend this hotel. We stayed in the lodges. It was simply stunning.

The breakfast buffet would benefit from more fresh vegetables and a somewhat more diverse offering.

We had an amazing room, very high ceiling, palace-like. The bath open was also large and well designed. We liked the marble flooring. the staff and service were exceptionally good. Smiles and customer focus end to end. We appreciated the readiness to help via WhatsApp texting i.e. recommendations, clarification etc) during our entire stay.

Very charming place with a great terrace and impeccable service - only issue was that upstairs is a bit tough for tall people and one needs to know you have to climb 2-3 stairs to get to apartment.

Everything. It was dirty, nothing was cleaned, we had to go buy cleaning supplies ourselves. We complained, we showed the staff everything that was dirty - they were suprised. They “cleaned again” but everything was the same. The smell in the room, like mold, was unbearable. We could not lower the AC because the smell would get worse. We froze. Balcony was soooo dirty, it was impossible to use. We asked if there was any other room available but they said no. We decided to leave after the first night and loose a lot of money. That’s how bad it was.
