Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Leopoldo Dimora Storica & Spa in Radda di Chianti. The location in the heart of Tuscany is simply magnificent, and the staff could not have been more helpful, from check-in to arranging a driver to take us to a wedding venue. Our room exceeded expectations, beautifully blending the charm of the historic Palazzo with modern amenities. One of the highlights of our stay was the wine tasting, which was both educational and enjoyable, and we came away with a deeper appreciation for the wines of the region, including the renowned Super Tuscans. Breakfast each morning was a delight for both the eyes and the palate, with a wide variety of options. The smoked salmon was an unexpected and welcome treat in Italy. The panoramic views from the property were breathtaking, adding to the sense of being in a truly special place. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Palazzo Leopoldo to anyone visiting Tuscany. And I highly recommend Radda as a stop on your Tuscan escape.

FinlandUnfortunately, some breakfast items had already run out about half an hour before the official closing time.
Palazzo Leopoldo Dimora Storica & Spa is a beautiful historic hotel located in the charming old town of Radda in Chianti. The hotel is wonderfully designed as a whole, offering excellent services. Perched on a hilltop, it boasts stunning views over the rolling hills of Tuscany. We stayed in the Suite Leopold, which was very spacious and beautifully decorated, featuring plenty of historical details of the building. The suite had comfortable beds and offered excellent value for money. Small dogs are also warmly welcome to stay. The hotel also features a lovely sun terrace with two jacuzzi, which can be reserved for private use for two hours – a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Tuscan sunshine. Guests also have access to a swimming pool located about five kilometres away, as well as to the hotel’s own indoor pool and spa facilities. Breakfast was tasty and varied, with eggs, bacon, cheeses, cold cuts, three types of juice, bread, delicious sweet pastries, jams, fresh fruit, and a tasty avocado spread for bread. The cappuccino was excellent and served to the table. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent and attentive, and the cleanliness was of a high standard. There is also a large free parking area, which is a great advantage. I warmly recommend Palazzo Leopoldo Dimora Storica & Spa to anyone visiting the area!

HungaryIndoor pool was a bit outdated and you have to reserve in advance if you want to use it. Finding a free parking slot in the near is challanging.

NetherlandsWe were looking forward to the use of the pool, but that was 5 kilometers by car to another hotel of the same chain. We did go but we would of course have preferred to have the pool with the hotel - perhaps we should have investigated this more beforehand as the property is in the center of the miniscule medieval village. The indoor pool is more a family jacuzzi that needs to be reserved.
The room was spacious, bathroom a bit cramp but well organized. The breakfast buffet was really good and the staff are super friendly. We stayed for two nights, could have easily spend another few days in the Chianti area.

United KingdomThe hotel didn’t have a pool which was fine but we didn’t realise that you could only book the hot tubs for 1 hour slot each day, so just something to be aware of!
Loved the location, very friendly staff, clean and good food! Spa was fantastic and just what we needed in the lead up to our Tuscan wedding!

GermanyLots and lots of stairs - part of the charm. The attic room was a little oppressive with low ceilings and a lack of windows but still very nice. The other rooms were nicer in our opinion but super minor comment. Don’t be put off by it.
Lovely rooms and very nice staff. Good location - lovely overall

United KingdomThe first night the air con wasn't working, the room was stifling. This was sorted the following morning but I would have expected this to be checked prior to check-in
Breakfast was amazing and the room was comfortable. The outdoor jacuzzies were a lovely touch.

NetherlandsOn Friday night we discovered the hard way that our room was directly above a bar with live music and a DJ set. So not recommended for early sleepers, unless you can sleep through a lot of noise. Also there were many mosquitos in the room, bring some repellent! One of the receptionists was really unfriendly ( a man), would recommend he goes on a hospitality course for a refresher.
Even the classic room was spacious, clean, the bed was big and comfortable and the airconditioning was actually cooling the room (not always a guarantee in Italy). The breakfast was the best we've had in two weeks of Italy and the lady (blue hairtone) serving coffees at the breakfast was amazing, she makes you feel warm and welcomed instantly!. The outdoor jacuzzi set up with the beds was also good for a nice relaxing wind down im the heat, with the wine dispenser and small snack as a perfect addition.

Israelthe rooms which are on the main street side are noisy due to the adjacent bar activity. we couldn't sleep as the talking and laughing were very loud. we asked the reception to change the room, and they did it on the next morning without further delays. the rest of the rooms are very quiet.
the place is unique and have a special atmosphere. The rooms are basic and sufficient. the bathroom is spotlessly clean. the breakfast was very good; it was tasty with lots of varieties. we would not recommend the dinner menu; it was not worth the cost.

PolandBreakfast may be richer. The air conditioning did not work in one of the rooms, and the pool requires some renovation. Although we had access to the spa, no one explained how to use it or encouraged us to enjoy the facilities. We also confirmed our dinner reservation, but we had to follow up on it ourselves. Outdoor jacuzzis were not available, even though they could have been.
We loved the medieval buildings and architecture, as well as the aerial views from the terrace and town hill. The hotel offered beautiful rooms, exceptional hospitality, and delicious Italian food. The private pool felt exclusive, and we appreciated the friendliness of the locals.

FranceJust one thing - please put the signs inside the property, ex “room 9-11”, “restaurant”, “spa”, etc and arrows of direction. There are numerous rooms, stairs, doors - very easy to get lost)
We enjoyed our stay - the junior suite is designed nicely with a perfect mix of old classic details and ultra-modern bathroom. The bed is comfortable, you have stunning views of Tuscan hills from your room. You have a good variety of choice at the breakfast.
