Excellent location for easy walk into the old historic town. Host communication was great despite limited English. Apartment clean and well equipped

I loved the room, the area and the amenities were great. The host was very kind and helped us getting bus tickets to the airport when we were confused as to how. Overall a genuinely great experience. The area is full of coffee shops, restaurants and other stores. The apartments are on a commercial street and a few minutes walk from there is the old town. Couldn't be better.

We did not find the place so we left. I was at the front with a sign on the wall but the door was locked. Someone living in the building let me in but no more signs of the place. I was very frustrated and we decided to leave. Still waiting to get our money back.

Absolutely ideal location: on a quiet side street in the picturesque old city but just 2 blocks from the vibrant restaurant and shopping district, and walkable from the commuter train from the airport

I always say, start with the positive. The room was very pleasant and clean. The location is great.

Sadly, the proprietor is not very professional. I messaged them the night before asking how to check in. The next day at 9am I got a message saying that all I had to do was call them when I arrived and they would arrive within 2 minutes. I called at 4:30pm that afternoon and got a voicemail. I kept calling and texting and messaging them on booking.com for nearly two hours and got no response. Finally I called another hotel. The owner of the new hotel knew the people and suggested that I inquire at the restaurant below. The people at the restaurant said they were not affiliated but knew where the owner lived and walked me across the street to their house. The door opened to a living room with at least four able bodied adults sitting around. "Oh, the line must've been busy." We've been calling for almost two hours. "Oh, ah, we thought you were coming earlier." The young woman walked me over to my room. The room was fine and I was able to warm up after two hours of waiting. Unfortunately at about 4am I woke up with a throbbing eye-ache. The smoke detector was flashing like it might if the battery was getting low, once every 40 seconds. I was able to drag a table around and set a chair on it and somehow climbed up and draped a towel over the flashing light. I stayed in 36 hotels this year. This was the second worst experience. The worst was a place that was coated in mold and required shallow breathing.

The location was fabulous. Despite being located above a small, quiet restaurant and around the corner 1/2 block from another more lively one, the apartment was amazingly quiet. The decor was humorously "glamorous" in a kitschy way, and heating system made the room quite comfy. The size was surprisingly large for an old Euro building. We've traveled extensively in Europe. It's to be expected that many European small Inns/BnB's are located in very ancient buildings. Their bathrooms are often retrofitted, hence their showers leak a bit with weird doors or lack thereof, and not surprisingly, this one did a bit. So, we expected this, and won't give it a knock for it. Worth it for the location and charm.

    I can't say anything negative.

Everything! Gorgeous room, spotlessly clean with comfortable bed. Fantastic shower. Excellent location. Roberta, very helpful although didn't need her much I knew she was easily available.

    There was nothing to dislike.

Our room was one of the two in a small flat on the first floor (the kitchen is common for the two private rooms). Bathroom with shower cabin and tolilet are part of the room as well as a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The room and the bathroom were perfectly clean (cleaning is every day between 10-12). Tea and coffee are available in the kitchen, as well as pre-packed croissants (but we had breakfast in the focaccerias close to the house). The windows are closing well, only a little noise can be heard from the street. Palazzo le travi is ideal for individuals or couples who would like to explore Bari and the nearby towns. The owner is very kind. Thank you for everything, Roberta! :)

There was some unusually loud noise during one of the nights, but it's acceptable since the flat is located in the city centre.

The place is so well-renovated! Everything is new, comfortable (especially the mattress) and looks amazing. The bathroom is so good with a great shower area. The window is overlooking a quiet street. Even when it was a bit louder, you could close the window and didn’t hear anything. Great soundproofing, which is usually not a common thing ! We loved it here!

Breakfast consists of two croissants, coffee/ tea and biscuits, which is ok but might be not what some people would expect.

Unbeatable location in the old town. Host, Roberta was very helpful, met us, showed us to our room and assisted with our luggage (1 flight of stairs). Easy to communicate via whatsapp and google translate. Room was clean, bright and spacious with small balcony, small fridge, incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower with good water pressure. Small kitchenette outside of private room, shared with other guest room fully equipped with stove top, microwave, kettle, tea/coffee.

The one flight of stairs and the continental breakfast, although we did not require this as there is so much delicious food on your doorstep

Best location possible in Bari, very clean and smooth check-in. Also great that there was a kitchen in the hall at guests' disposal.

The breakfast only consists of a bunch of sweet stuff and industrial croissants and bread... health conscious people have to look for something else...

A modern room in an old traditional Palazzo building in the Bari Vecchia, with little balconies to breathe the fresh air and feel the place's vibe, Charming! It makes you feel like a local, we love it. It´s on the first floor by stairs, just to be aware.

Perfect location just between the old and new part of the city. Everything we wanted was within short walking distance. The air conditioning was working perfectly and the room was dark and quiet despite the room being on the first floor in the city.

The bed was a bit too hard and short for us (my husband is 1.94 cm).

We loved this property! Roberta our host was very nice (doesn’t speak English but nothing google translate and our basic Italian skills couldn't handle!) and was very responsive. Probably one of the best hosts we’ve had from our various booking reservations. The location is perfect - it sits right in between the old town and the shops near Murat area. The apartment was very clean and we enjoyed the free coffee and croissants/jam in the morning.

We didn’t realize that this is a room with a shared kitchen. This means that there is a common entrance for two separate rooms. The rooms have a lock and each equipped with a private bathroom, so it was just the kitchen that was shared. Nevertheless we would still go back.

Everything! The location was perfect, just by the main entrance to the Bari Vecchia, but tucked away and in walking distance for everything, and i had a view from my balcony across the side street. Roberta,, my host was lovely, , meeting me when i arrived to help me take my luggage up the steps to my room. Roberta also offered to keep my luggage safe after i checked out so i could explore the town before i left. My stay was just perfect, the room provided all i needed, and in a great location Thankyou Roberta

Maybe the steps to the room could be quite challenging if you had children or had difficulty climbing.
