Everything was great.

The owners/managers of the place were exceptional. Contact was easy and they went out of the way to get our room ready quickly for a very early check-in, which meant a lot to us. They carried our bags up the (several flights of) stairs . They were so friendly and easy-going. The room was delightful, cosy, pretty, atmospheric. The place doesn't do breakfast, but there was a kettle with teas and quality biscuits. The facilities and supplies revealed unusual thoughtful attention to detail. A real gem of a place right in the heart of the old town, which is off the main tourist trail but probably not for very long.

Nothing. We loved everything. A 10 minutes walk from carpark with cameras, where we left our car for 3 days with no problems. A bit challenging to find parking, but there are 3 close car parks Raffaela recommended to us. Apartment is on the 2nd floor, but we didn't mind (it had a great view of the street).

Amazing place in a centre of a very charming town. Raffaela was very helpful and gave us some restaurant recommendations. Rooms were cleaned every day, and the mini fridge came in handy. We loved the air-conditioning in this heat! Even being in the historic centre the apartment is quiet, the centre town is closed for cars, which is great. Close walk to the train station to visit Cinque terre.

The old part of the city of Sarzana was a positive surprise with its castle, churches, many small restaurants, and the narrow streets with their boutiques. Palazzo Lari was just one more positive note: central location, beautiful room (with a living room), and Raffaella's warm welcome. Of course, you must put up with a staircase (no lift). However, this is part of the charm of living in an old palace. For this reason, try to limit the weight of your baggage! There is no access for motorcars, but the private parking lot is only five minutes away, and the walk is a good way of discovering Sarzana.

This place is more than perfect. It’s really difficult to find a hotel like this!! I’m Japanese so I’m a bit gemo fobia, But here is Sooo clean and gorgeous, you will find all amenities witch is rare in Italy, Everything is with high quality, Even you’ll have a fridge in the room! The room is well decorated with gorgeous furnitures……. I felt like a Countess🤩 you’ll have also Netflix. I enjoyed couch potate as well. Located the center of historical city, so it’s really convenient. Raffaella is super nice and generous and treat this place really nicely. Definitely I’ll come back!!!

It was clean and comfortable, with convenient check-in procedure and excellent communication from the host. The location is also fantastic- right in the center but quiet at night.

We stayed two nights, and on the third day, about five hours after we left, we received a message on WhatsApp saying we had to pay her one hundred euros because we had ruined a tea table. And we, the four of us, were on the road wondering, ‘What tea table? What happened?’ She sent us a picture of a nightstand that was actually being used as a bedside table with a huge lamp on it. In the picture she sent us, the lamp was gone, and the kettle was placed on the table. The wood was whitened, and the table was discolored around the kettle. She claimed we put the kettle on the nightstand, damaging it, and we owe her one hundred euros.To be honest, the kettle was in another room on a large marble-topped table, used as a tea table with a set of cups. Why would we take the kettle from there and bring it into that other room to cause this ‘accident’? What motive would we have? We used the kettle, indeed; we took it off the stand, poured hot water into cups, and put it back on the stand on the marble table. We didn’t even use the tea table she’s talking about.We believe that, seeing we were from another nationality, she thought she could get a hundred euros out of us. And let’s say, hypothetically, that we did damage the table. How does she know it’s worth a hundred euros? She just came up with that amount and said, ‘You have to give me one hundred euros.’ It’s absurd; you can’t do that. She even threatened us on WhatsApp, messaging us from another number, claiming to be the police. Is she pretending to be the Italian police? What is this, a circus? Since when does the police dm you to pay 100 euros?

Disadvantage, lots of noise until late in the evening and night from the street underneath. Bed is not comfortable, not enough suspension.
