Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We loved everything, the style, the ambience, the staff. A great location with great restaurants and bar all on the doorstep. An easy drive to beautiful towns and beaches - Castro within 5 mins drive restaurants and historic old town not touristy. The palazzo itself is a peaceful oasis, with a beautiful garden, places to sit and relax with a glass of wine before heading out for dinner. The pool area is also very nice and there is a small underground spa which was totally unique. Breakfast is taken outside under a lovely loggia by the pool. A selection for breakfast with home baked bread eggs cheese and meats plus cereals, fruit yogurt and amazing home made cakes. The staff were wonderful, helpful but never intrusive. Its was our first time visiting Pulia and we were blown away but the hospitality and kindness of the people here.

United StatesIt was a bit far from Otranto and Lecce
This hotel was so awesome. Located in a really cute town close to the water (30 minutes from Otranto and 40 minutes from Lecce). The grounds are genuinely stunning and the room was really nice. Great amenities too - be sure to do the free spa experience! The staff are fantastic and they plan themed dinners a few nights/week. We wish we’d had more time here!

United KingdomWish I could have spent a couple more nights! Absolutely loved Palazzo Guglielmo, the staff are amazing so attentive and kind, Roberta went above and beyond to make my stay magical. I travelled via public transport - which is definitely possible so don’t let the ‘remote-ness’ put any travellers off - but I had a couple of issues so Roberta helped me get a taxi and even helped me get a bus ticket at the end of my stay! The breakfast is fab, the pool, spa, bikes are all great. It’s only a 15min cycle down to Cala dell'Acquaviva. I absolutely loved the pasta making class!

United KingdomHotel was more rustic than I expected a palazzo to be. Typical Italian which we liked but not the sort of luxury we hoped for. No decent restaurant within walking distance. (We tried the Ulivi but would NOT go again)
All the staff were great. Breakfast excellent. Quiet and relaxing. Excellent take away pizzas just down the road.

United KingdomThis place is fabulous. Beautiful setting with spacious garden rooms, a wonderful green space and a rooftop jacuzzi. Rosa's breakfast is the best. Freshly cooked and locally sourced ingredients. Also recommend the onsite restaurant. Want to unwind for a few days then this is the perfect place with the most helpful staff.

United KingdomThe bed was too hard. I said something and they lent me a topper but it wasn’t the best bed even so. Maybe need to modernise those but keep everything else as it is.
It was original and unusual with great facilities and such friendly staff. It felt like a tranquil little haven. Loved this place. They have a pool and if you had kids there was a trampoline and table tennis hut all felt very family like and not like a hotel including all the wonderful old mis matching crockery at breakfast which appealed to me. The rooms were old fashioned and felt like we weren’t in a hotel. Also a spa and gym which we didn’t use.

United KingdomSlightly remote but sometimes that's what you need.
Unfortunatley I had a car crash on the way from the airport to the property and ended up in hospital on the first night. When I spoke to the Hotel they said ring us when they let you out and we will pick you up, which they did. I arrived at the property and it was such a beautiful place to rest and recupperate for a few days!! The rooms are exceptionaly clean and spacious, the gardens are beautiful and so lovely to just find a spot to sit and relax in the shade. The Spa is a great bonus with stean rooms and thermal pools. As far as the staff goes they were exceptional! So friendly and helful, I felt completley taken care of!! I've told all my friends about this place and can't wait to go back!!

IrelandA little piece of paradise. What a beautiful hotel, from the minute you arrive you can tell how much the staff and owners love the hotel and take such pride in it. You will need a car. We stayed with 3 kids maybe our kids were a little too young but the hotel made us feel very welcome. All of the staff are amazing and the breakfast is unreal !

United KingdomThe only slight annoyance was that there was about a group of about 4 families booked in at the same time and they weren’t very considerate towards other guests at the property. Obviously not the hotels fault but meant breakfast time and sitting around the pool wasn’t as relaxing as it could have been.
A hidden gem. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and the breakfast was plentiful.

IrelandNothing to dislike, just to let you know that it is a small village that is very quiet and a car would in my opinion be essential to visit local towns and beaches.
All of the staff were exceptional! Especially Francesca and Elizabeth who went out of their way to help with our stay, suggesting places to visit with best places to park, best beaches to visit and even organised a venue for us to watch a rugby World Cup match which was a great bonus. The place itself was like an oasis behind the tall wooden doors on the quiet village square. A beautiful building with so many facilities onsite, including a pool, bar, restaurant, solarium on the roof with a jacuzzi. A lower level spa room and gym facilities available. We got to make our own pasta then eat it in the restaurant later on in the evening which was great fun. A relaxing experience in a beautiful environment!
