Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. We liked the room a lot and have no complaints. Not an issue for us but a few stairs to carry the suitcases up. No clothes rack for beach towels, etc.
Excellent location, close to beach and middle of town. Quiet. Nicely appointed room. Great air conditioning in the heat wave. Comfortable bed. Good restaurant recommendations. Perfect base for a short trip.

The shower is really small. It was quiet in the room but when people were going in and out to their rooms we could hear them so it wasn’t fully soundproof.
The lady helping us was so kind dealing with her on phone calls and helping us get parking etc. we were also given complimentary Prosecco which was a lovely touch. The room was bright and modern.

Amazingly decorated, very clean and comfortable. In centre and very close to the beach and train station. Would recommend, had a lovely stay.

The mattresses were a little soft. The walls were really thin, so you could hear the people in the neighbouring room.
The hotel ist located very neatly close to the Center of the town in a very pretty old Italian building. The staff was super friendly and immensly helpful, giving great restaurant recommendations! The room was cleaned thoroughly every day and the towels were changed every few days as well.

Building next door was being reconditioned so some noise evident during the day but we were out for most of the time anyway. Awkwardly located small step in kitchen that we kept tripping on.
We stayed in the deluxe room. Classy newly and completely renovated apartment. Separate bedroom with king sized bed. Helped us bring our luggage up the stairs. Air conditioning plus able to open the windows.

There was a step in both units that was very annoying. We all tripped several times.

Insect net on window would not open so couldn’t hang washing out on line and no glasses in room so had to buy a couple.
Location was excellent, central to all restaurants and bars, clean, modern room with plenty of storage space for clothes, great shower and very comfortable bed.

It is really hard to find a nice modern space with a real Italian flair that offer all you need. But this space did it. Everything is available in the apartment in high quality. A fantastic kitchen space to cook, a luxurious bathroom with a rainforest shower and a bedroom to forget the world around. I can highly recommend to come here. Would do so again. Definitely.

The hotel is very central, near restaurants, shops, 5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk to the train station. It situates in a quiet street at the first floor (no lift) of a characteristic building. The room is newly refurbished with modern spacious interior. Wi-fi and air conditioning working perfectly. Rooms are serviced every day. The check-in is by appointment. Our host Morgana is very helpful and friendly. Perfect holiday!

The check in times - caused a little stress as unfortunately our flight was delayed causing us to miss our connecting train to Levanto leaving us to get a taxi from the airport at an additional cost of €275 however our host met us at 1am to let us into our room which was greatly appreciated.
The room was compact & luxurious. Serviced every day. Very clean. Location to restaurants, beach & train very good. WiFi worked really well as did air conditioning.

No replacements of coffee and milk during stay. No light on stairs when leaving building after dark.
