The property was amazing and was well beyond all our expectations. We had a suite and it was perfect for the family and was very spacious, clean and well kept. All the staff from the front desk to the cafe downstairs were fantastic . The pool areas are also great and the breakfast was perfect .

The restaurant downstairs (not part of the hotel, but downstairs inside the building) was too expensive for what you got. Because of the resto the swimming pool closes at 7pm, which is a bit to early in summer. But the hotel gets our 10/10 !

Very nice historical place with well renovated rooms equipped with everything you need. The common spaces with the books and the Swimming pool are fantastic, the free welcome drink at the outside bar + crostini were great, we enjoyed the atmosphere there of the public square.

Beautiful Palazzo in small town of Poggiardo. The bed rooms were stunning, staff so helpful and lovely pool. Thanks to Francesca and Sandra. Lovely breakfast . Very good local restaurants and close to Castro Marina, Tricasse and check out Porto Badisco which is just stunning.

There were just a couple of small things that could be improved — there was no trash bin in the room at first, but the staff kindly brought one when we asked. The soundproofing between rooms seemed weak, and although we were very quiet throughout our stay, we still experienced some discomfort. It was also surprising that there was no television in the room, and the bathroom sink drained a bit slowly.

The room was clean and charming, and the breakfast was especially wonderful - everything was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The breakfast area itself was also lovely, with a peaceful atmosphere during the day (even though there were a few late-night parties outside). The pool area was also beautiful - a perfect spot to relax. All of the shared spaces throughout the property felt thoughtful and special. Francesca at the reception was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit - she welcomed us warmly on arrival, guided us perfectly with parking, and even recommended a local luminarie event that made our trip truly special. A great place to stay. All the staff, with no exception, were so helpful and friendly. Francesca, in particular, was professional, attentive and went out of her way to assist with many things including arranging taxis for us. The rooms were spacious and cleaned beautifully each day. The breakfast was really good with an amazing choice and lovely moka coffee.

Everything was more than perfect.

Palazzo Cicolone exceeded our expectations IN EVERY WAY. Everything from the lovely and helpful receptionists to the over-the-top breakfasts to the balconies that overlook the cobblestone street, to the blackout shades, to the beautifully restored and designed spaces. You can tell the staff really understands how to pamper their guests. We’ve never been so impressed by any guest experience anywhere in the world—it was a dream.

The staff were amazing and a credit to the hotel. Francesca on reception went above & beyond to help us. The ladies that cleaned our room daily were so thorough. The ladies behind the bar provided a first class service and kept our drinks flowing😀. And not forgetting the staff who ensured our breakfast was prepared to a high standard. What more could we ask for! This hotel is a little gem and the owner should be very proud of his team.

We chose the Amorini room; if you like to sleep in, it might be a problem because the room is right across from the reception, and it can be noisy.

The location is wonderful, the historic palazzo is beautifully decorated, the rooms are cleaned every day, and even all the belongings are neatly arranged. The breakfasts are quite good, with a wide selection by Italian standards, not just coffee and croissants. The hotel staff is also amazing, very responsive and friendly. We were left with only warm impressions!

The staff at the bar can't speak in English and we couldn't put our wet swimsuits to a hanger in the room.

We loved the pool, and the breakfast was really colorful. The hotel is charming, like a little castle. The staff is helpful and kind. Housekeepers are smiling all the time:) and everything is clean. Francesca helped us with everything (receptionist). The room are big, we had enough space.

The Palazzo was exactly how I imagined it - big spacey rooms, gorgeous pool and delicious breakfast. The bar is used locally as well as for guests and is great for grabbing snacks and drinks. Francesca was an absolute superstar and arranged days out for us using local drivers as we didn't have a car. She is one of the reasons I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The whole team were wonderful.
