Excellent

Shower / bathroom very small

Great location

Poor condition of facilities. This is the third time staying at this beautiful venue. Loose fitting bathroom sink, almost falling of the wall. Loose fitting shower rail. Check in was very curt.

Right at the doorstep of the Vatican. Breakfast was good.

Air-conditioning and refrigerator was not working during our 3 nights stay and it is August. Nights were so uncomfortable and hot.

I enjoyed the authenticy of the hotel, it's location and convenience for the Vatican. I had minimal interactions with the staff, however all were polite and accessible. The breakfast selection was general & simlar to most experiences I've had with B&B provision.

I think the Palazzo space & garden could be better utilised. A dedicated member of staff & offer, and also better lighting in the evenings.

Quiet, tranquil and right there.

The shower. It was tight in it.

The property and rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond make us feel comfortable and feel like we were part of the Italian heritage. The decor was beautiful, and very meaningful - you felt the presence of God everywhere you looked. As part of the stay, you are given mass readings as well, making you feel very well informed of the church services. The location is perfect - it’s a few steps away from St Peter’s basilica, restaurants and souvenir shops. There are also other church building a few steps away. If you get a chance to visit Rome, please do. It’s also located in a safe area. I definitely felt safe waking around at night. The hotel is happy to organise a taxi ride - which makes your life so much easier. Plus, they will arrange airport shuttles - to and from the hotel, should you wish to use this form of travel.

Historic value. Location.

Not much was to be liked, it is a very poorly run property.

When I first came in off the street the place smelt damp and mouldy. I got to reception and was asked rudely if there was something I wanted. Like I was an annoying salesman or something. I booked at 12 noon for the following day then when I inspected the property at 1pm I saw that it was pretty bad so I requested to cancel without charge which they declined. Pretty unreasonable given I booked that same day. They couldn’t even provide me with the “included breakfast” because they were not open early enough when I left. They did give me a take away breakfast bag which was an Apple, a kids juice box and a soggy croissant. I gave it to a homeless person outside the door (there are lots of them camped out there). There was an overall eerie feeling to the place, hard to explain but certainly not welcoming. There was also a difference in rules for different staff. When I first inspected the property I was told “you have to pay the city tax in cash so you will need to go for a walk to get some from a bank machine” then when I actually checked in, the other staff member was like “money is money pay on card or cash we don’t care”. The breakfast area was very dark and like a cave, they keep the lights off when the room is not in use, which adds to the doom and gloom. Overall the place is just not run very nicely. When I mentioned these things I was told “it’s a 400year old building” but I’ve stayed in plenty of old buildings that present nicely and are kept looking good. I think they probably just lost their passion for running the business. It was not the cheapest of the options in the area, I expected better.

Wonderful people and a great location. The breakfast was delicious and we definitely enjoyed our stay. Wish we could have been there longer.

False advertising, saying on description large bathroom but it was the tiniest. no pressure at all on shower, brought to the attention of hotel and they said they fixed it but they didn’t touch it. Staff was rude, hotel dirty, room too small. Definitely not what was in the description.
