The old fashioned furniture and style

The room is very clean. Furniture is old style,the curtains, pillows.It needs to be refreshed.The staff is really lovely both receptionists and the people at the breakfast restaurant. Breakfast not wow but abundant.Location is great to visit the village which is very nice! The road to the coast is a bit tortuous and I was lazy to drive to the beach which is very very nice instead

The restaurant, on the other hand, offered some truly memorable dishes, such as orecchiette with mussels, alongside others that were less inspiring, like the rather disappointing king prawns. Had dinner been served on the beautiful terraces rather than in the rather chilly dining room, whose atmosphere was more reminiscent of a refectory, we would have happily overlooked any minor missteps from the kitchen. I do appreciate, however, that the additional staffing required for terrace service would likely be prohibitively expensive.

The Palace Hotel San Michele is a charming property with a touch of faded grandeur, evoking memories of stays from my younger years. The staff were exceptional — warm, gracious, and attentive throughout our visit and especially kind and welcoming to our two dogs: our gentle Great Dane and our lively little crossbreed. The room was beautiful, perfectly furnished, and spotless. The pool is delightful, and from the hotel, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Gulf of Manfredonia. Breakfast was a real highlight — generous, varied, and delicious.

I was a disappointed at breakfast to have to wait 15-20 minutes for the eggs and bacon to be filled up and was disappointed in a few of the breakfast staffs response to the situation. I felt the organisation for the amount of people eating wasn't there and was affecting how the staff had to deal with the situation putting them under pressure.

The room was utterly amazing. We don't normally book a small suite but this time we did and it was wonderful and with a balcony with a stunning view. An amazing Castle visit lots to see

The hotel caters to bus tours and it’s a bit outdated. We didn’t like the smell of smoke as soon as we entered the lobby , but other than there, it wasn’t . And as mentioned in many previous reviews, the breakfast is so bad. Cold runny eggs, stale pastries, old fruit …. Seriously not hard to remedy, especially with several local bakeries in town. Still a good value- just forget they offer breakfast.

Wish we could have driven up to the front of the hotel to unload our bags, rather than have to drag them up the hill from the closest point we could drive to -- the road right up to the hotel was blocked off and no cars were allowed.

We wanted to eat an evening meal but was not possible as we had not reserved. We were not told that we had to reserve in advance. The hotel caters mostly to bus tours so we felt like second class guests. Also the breakfast was minimal.

The spa was closed for no apparent reason even though the website indicated it would be open. The lobby and our room smelled like people had been smoking in them. There was an ashtray on the balcony and there were no "no smoking" signs anywhere.

Incredible view of the sea and mountainside. Location great for walking to all the sites. Free secure onsite parking. Great balcony with a table and chairs. Our triple room had a door separating the two sleeping areas for privacy. The sheets were perfect.

The lift was broken and I had to go up and down between floor 1 and -1 for meals.

When you only have two hot items on the breakfast. How difficult is it keep both of them hot?? I appreciate that plates need to be cleared, but why use a metal container to throw the cutlery in. Why not use a trolley to collect items quietly and then take them behind the scenes to deal with. So frustrating.

The restaurant work only with reservation for a fixed menu. And although the breakfest is very good , the way they serve the coffee takes time.

Maybe we expected bit better breakfast in 4* hotel, but we know already that in Italy this is the less important meal. Some refreshments of the hotel, especially of the restaurant area could be in order.

Our receptionist young girl, unfortunately we don't know her name, was really extremly friendly. We had amazing view on the Manfredonia coastline from our suite room. Hotel is easily reachable with car and with perfect location for visiting underground church of Saint Michel.

All in all we liked everything. It would be nice that they actually had a usable shuttle service to the beach, given that the one they offer runs at 7 45 and comes back at 13 00

Very old style hotel with beautiful common areas. Abundant buffet breakfast (bread, tomatoes, loads of cake, croissants, eggs bacon etc) Very close to the village centre and very close to restaurants Staying here gives you access to a private beach at villagio turístico baía del Monaco, as well as an umbrella and chairs The staff at the reception desk were friendly and helpful

The hotel needs an uplift since the rooms and overall look is quite dated. Room could use thicker towels and a softer comforter.

Great location! Cute town with lots of restaurants within walking distance and of course the beautiful Church. The agreement they have with a resort close to the beach is very convenient. We drove down the hill (~20min) and spent the day enjoying this private beach club.
