Very charming hostel in a beautiful old building. Loved the vintage elevator and the wooden window shutters looking out onto San Polo. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

It’s pretty bare bones facilities, but it’s clean and considerate.

Great spot for the price, friendly people at the front desk who spoke English well. Lots of communal social areas and a cool historic elevator.

The bathroom and toilet are seperately but not a big problem

The property located on the mainland of Venice and it is convenient for walking around. I was upgraded the room with free of charge and the staff is super nice and helpful. I love the hostel

The hostel is excellent value for money - it has everything you need, including a kitchen with plenty of fridge space. It is very clean and the location is good, very near Piazzale Roma and the railway station. The room was air conditioned, the beds were comfy and the sheets spotless, and from our 4th floor corner window we even had a canal view! The staff are just wonderful - very friendly, helpful and efficient. The terrace is also great for morning coffee and/or evening socializing. It's a charity rather than a business - it's not run for the sole purpose of making money, and you can feel that in the vibe of the place.

location is very near the bus and train station, very convenient if you are travelling outside of the island. however it is a 20-25 minute walk to the main sights on the island which I usually find a good walk but when i visited it was raining and was a storm which i found very far to make my way back to. not the fault of the property though, just a consideration for anyone wanting info about the location!

i booked for a female bed in dorm but got upgraded on arrival to a single room which was a lovely surprise! 😊 besides that, i found the shared toilets extremely clean for a shared hostel. there are also several toilets on each floor so you can move around if you don’t want to wait for a toilet or shower, but i didn’t face a problem sharing. there was an incident of unpleasant stains in the toilet bowl and usually they are not cleaned till much later but this was dealt with quite quick i assume by the cleaners. very quiet hostel as well, not a party hostel which worked to my favour.

Even though their was a air-conditioning it was set 25 degree which was too hot while I'm traveling I feel it will be nice if we can reduce and increase according to our choice

I knew this when I booked so I don’t complain, but not having the typical hostel privacy curtains can be a little uncomfortable if you arrive late or wake up early and need to use some light.

Great location, close to main tourist areas but less crowded. Staff is super nice, friendly and accommodating. Shared spaces were kept clean at all times, rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable.
