How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The flat is a bit noisy, because the traffic is a bit loud, but it is normal in a downtown.
The flat was clean and well equipped. The owner was helpful also.

Parking was tricky to find but it wasn't the hosts' fault. We ended up parking at Porto Mirabello, which was fine.
The location was superb near to the port and old city area. Room was comfortable and very clean.

Would have been nice to have a blanket/comforter because it was pretty cold at night due to rainy weather.
The location is superb, a short distance away from the very centre of the city and close to the sea. The room itself was very clean and nicely decorated. Check in and check out was smooth and easy.

There was some construction going on around 8am one morning - obviously not the fault of the property/owner. Shower also ran cold in early afternoon.
Excellent location (15 mins from the train station and very central!). Super comfy bed, clear instructions for entry and self check-in, very neatly furnished and everything seemed near-new (I.e. bathroom, decor etc). Great value for money, super clean, air con also a plus!! Host gave us some great tips for dinner and was super responsive to questions :)

Leaky shower and noisy bed. They really should fix these things.
Good location. Close to everything. Friendly host that follows up and making sure you have what you need.. Nice A/C. New towels and bed sheets every day.

We had a problem with the shower which it did drain fast enough causing some flooding.
Such a great location, easy to find and so central and the owners were very responsive.

Very very basic unit. Bed was average in comfort. Had to shut windows due to street noise. For the price it needs more decor…flooring and furniture would help. shower quickly runs out of hot water.
Location Location Location. Lots of shopping and eateries around. Staff gave great suggestions. Also it is close to train station. Checkin was easy with a video how to enter unit. Very clean.

Easy access to the city centre and ship trip access to Cinque Terra! A Caffè with cigarette shop just down to the Guest house! Restaurants around.

The cleaning lady who moved around our stuff to clean the room at 9:30 while the check out is at 11:00 I was out for a coffe and when I came back I have been told no to lie on the bed because she already changed sheets 🤣....what can I say....cleaning queen
Apartment deco , clean, very nice with big bathroom. Situated in front of the Park/ Marina and one street away from restaurants...by the way, ate very well there. Very comfy bed, water in the fridge, cookies , coffe available. I would recommend this one for a few days in La Spezia.

We were not told about the stairs, and the elevator not going to the mezzanine.. the front door was never locked,, (no need for a code,, you can just push it and opens anytime) not much hangers or closet space ..
Overall for the price what we got was fair

Very clean and well organized room with all necessary facilities with a cleaning room service available everyday. The Airbnb is very well positioned in la Spezia and not far from city center and restaurants area. It is also close to train station through which you could visit cinque terre.

No lift up the one flight of stairs but lovely Italian resident carried up my bag.
It was close to the old part of town. 2 minute walk to the ferry for Cinque Terre. Good coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Room was spacious , clean and bed very comfortable. Nice big bathroom.
