Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaThe hotel is fairly close to the train station, so it's not the cleanest part of Rome. And it was sometimes difficult to sleep due to the noise amount outside at night — every day there were some events, people shouting, cars, etc. Many smelly trash cans around. We walked a lot, so I could say the other parts of Rome just a few more metro stations away from Termini are cleaner.
A very nice hotel, clean room almost at the rooftop, tasty breakfast and very friendly staff. They offer (free!) excursions to Colosseo and other places in Rome with their guide too. Room cleaned every day. Nice to go for a walk from here to Colosseo, Pantheon and Vatican, everything is rather close by, shop and metro station are literally just around the corner.

SwedenThe only drawback is that the hotel is on the 5th floor and the elevator is old—it only works if both doors are fully closed. Sometimes previous users didn’t close them properly, so the elevator wouldn’t come down, which was a bit inconvenient, especially late at night when tired. I think it would help to put a larger, more visible sign in English to remind guests to close the doors.
The room was clean and the AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was not included in our stay but we had it at the hotel, and I found it really good compared to the price—items were quickly refilled and the quality was nice. The staff were very kind, helpful, and truly excellent.

TurkeyThe hotel is on the fifth floor but the elevator is two slow and can golf only three people. The room was old but clean enough. However, bathroom tap is letting water out of the room.
Location was excellent Sincer it iş in walking distance to both Termini and Collesium. The other places can be reached on foot or by metro. The breakfast was good enough.

MaltaThe bar just outside the hotel entrance (Bar Chen F) was full of inebriated people at night and we were quite scared until we got in and closed the downstairs door. Even the short walk from the Vittorio Emanuele metro stop feels unsafe late at night. Please be careful if traveling alone. We are not reducing the hotel's score much because of this as you cannot really affect what happens outside in the street, but it did feel very unsafe. The hotel also did not have working Wi-Fi for the entire duration of our stay. We went several times to ask the front desk about this but each time they told us "it's not working for us too, sorry". Our room was next to the staircase where the elevator is, and you can hear it working so earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper. We needed to provide a credit card to 'secure our booking' - we had one and provided it, but were not planning to bring it with us.
We liked the proximity of the hotel to the Vittorio Emanuele metro stop, as it let us explore Rome until we got tired and then hop on a metro to come back to the hotel. The hotel is only on the fifth floor of the building, so when you arrive you have to buzz the front desk from downstairs, wait for them to let you in, then take an elevator up 5 floors to the reception. We found the elevator working. The hotel staff were also very helpful and let us leave our luggage there for a few hours after check-out.

GermanyStructure is old and not too comfortable. Elevator is like from old ages. There was no internet connection in rooms. You can connect just only in reception. Because the bill was not paid! This was very big problem for all consumers.
Staff is very helpful and interested. Many thanks for all again. Especially breakfast is amazing. Location is make easier your trip. It is near the Metro and Central Train Station.

BrazilThe closet in the bedroom could be better—for example, it should have a full-length mirror, and there should be more electric outlets.
Excellent location in Rome with a professional and kind staff. We had a pleasant stay. The bedroom and bathroom always clean. The breakfast place is nice with quality food, yet small tables for groups of four. Recommended - affordable price.

TurkeyThere could have been a kettle with 2 cups and coffee and tea in the room.
I liked that the rooms were cleaned every day and the breakfast was delicious. In fact, the location was very far on foot, but since there was a metro station right next to it, it was very easy to get everywhere. The employees were very kind and attentive.

SerbiaThe sheets and the towels seem clean and new. However, the toilet was dirty, the shower curtain was old and yellow and the walls are stained. There is also alot of dust on surfaces that are not immediatelly visible (i.e., when you open any cabinet). The shower head is broken so it sprays water everywhere. I think this would be an amaizing hotel if they would improve hygine a litttle and invest a bit to repair whats broken or old and paint the walls.
The staff was amaizing and the location is great. I saw some people are saying it is not safe, but I think those people have never before been to an Italian big city. Its a perfectly normal for a close to city center part of town and its pretty safe.

ItalyThere was only a window, but it connects the room to another room and not to outdoor, so you have to keep it always closed. There is a small fridge in the room, but it's empty, not even bottles of water. The city tax is quite high, but I don't think it's a problem of the hotel. The beds are ok, but not super comfortable
The room was quite spacious, the same for the bathroom. The hotel is located very close to the metro station and not far from the central station. A/C worked perfectly (it was very hot outside), there was also an elevator (the hotel is at 5th floor); a good value for the money spent

United StatesBathroom was moldy and not clean enough like the rest of the room. At breakfast cafe was from a machine, but a freshly made to order cappuccino or cafe would be so much better!
Great location, food/drink all around, near metro stop and across from park with ruins. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Spacious room (had a triple for 3 (one full bed, one twin)) with clean marble floors. Very comfortable bed!. Elevator (hotel on 5th floor).

BrazilThe elevator actually works, and we didnt know. The reception is in the 5 floor, so it really needed to use the elevator. My only real complaint is about the localization at night, is a bit scary but not really dangerous.
The room was very confortable, very clean, and the bathroom was perfect. It had a good view from our Windows.
