Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandI guess, this is the first time that I write it after a stay, but: None.
This B&B is a great base by Termini. In fact, when booking, we were a bit unsure about booking so close to the train station, but the area is actually safe and not loud, and the location is extremely convenient for any transfers, as well as for exploring the city. After our stay, Andrea kindly allowed us to store luggage and — even better — even to take a shower when picking it up! The breakfasts were generous with good coffee and a well-stocked mini-fridge; the room has another (capsule) coffee machine with capsules refilled every day; we also had a complimentary prosecco. What is important, the beds and pillows were comfortable (although one of us is very picky about them :) ). Even more, when our flight was cancelled the next day, Andrea kindly let us store our bags for half a day in order to enjoy Roma again and even take a shower again, free of charge. Throughout the stay, Andrea was consistently available to help us or answer questions, and we truly felt welcome. The service rivaled many full-service hotels we’ve used This all made very happy with our stay and we know now that we have a place in Rome where we can and will return.

CyprusI don’t have anything that i don’t like
I had a wonderful stay in Rome, the accommodation was perfect, the host Andrea was super friendly and took the time to explain everything about the room in detail and also for Rome in general which made us feel right at home. The room was fantastic, with snacks replenished every day (cheese, charcuterie, yoghurts, nuts, wine, water, cola, and coffee capsules etc) a really nice touch! The breakfast was great and set us up for the day, and the location couldn’t have been better, just a short walk from Termini Station, making it so easy to explore all the sights. I had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Rome, highly recommend!

United KingdomWe liked everything!
It is not possible to exaggerate the warmth of the welcome, the attention to detail, and the effort which Andrea and Sylvia made to make our stay a memorable one. The room has been carefully designed to provide every comfort. Super comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, and innovative lighting. A well stocked fridge with everything: cheese, cooked ham, yoghurts, milk, coca cola, bottled water and prosecco! A top quality coffee machine, flat screen TV and a wall safe. We had mentioned to Andrea that one of us was gluten intolerant and he had provided gluten free cereal, bread, biscuits, and two types of cake. Next door to our room was the kitchen which each morning was stocked with cereals, fruit, delicious pastries, bread rolls, boiled eggs, fruit juices. It also had the best coffee machine I have ever used, that made superb coffees. Contact with Andrea was really easy and all interactions were very pleasant. He was just so helpful. The B&B is located in a very nice street, about 3 minutes walk from where the airport bus dropped us off at Rome's main railway station, Termini. There are some very nice restaurants in Via Amadeo nearby. We particularly liked Trattoria Cecio. The Colosseum is about 20 minutes walk and there are bus stops for the Hop on Hop Off buses a few minutes away. As if all that is not enough, take-away boxes were available and we were able to pack a lunch box each day from the contents of our fridge and the kitchen. We just cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough - never had hospitality like it anywhere in the world!

NorwayWe had the best time at Andrea’s bn’b. The breakfast was super, with fresh croissants, fruits and coffee every morning, and opportunities to make lunch packages for the day. Awesome location, as we were in the very center of Rome. And the room was great and cleaned every day. Super! Most importantly: Andrea was a great host. So warm and funny guy. We will go to this bn’b next time we’re in Rome. And recommend everyone else to do the same.

United KingdomOptimus B&B is in a great location opposite the train station. The host Andrea was brilliant, he sent detailed information on how to access the property. He greeted us, and went through everything we needed to know about our stay. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good too. We were kindly allowed to leave our luggage in the property on the day of departure, when we arrived back to collect. Andrea had made us a snack box for our onward journey. He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

IndiaThis cozy two-bedroom B&B is just a few steps away from the Roma Termini station. What stood out the most—besides its convenient location—was the warm hospitality of our gracious host, Andrea. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, from giving us the best recommendations on where to eat, to restocking our fridge daily with snacks and water, and even surprising us with a thoughtful goodie bag filled with souvenirs for our onward journey to Florence. Highly recommend this place!

SwitzerlandThere is a stair to access the bathroom, so this might be also a "problem" for some persons
The owner Andrea is very helpfull, flexible and gives a lot of usefull information. Good choice of food for breakfast (salty and sweet products) and a good + is the fridge in the room with snacks/sandwiches/drinks for guests' own use. Very close to Termini train station and approximatively 15min walk to Forum/Colisseo. Andrea also offered a "good bye" pack with some goodies-drinks, a very nice/gentle gesture.

We loved our stay at Optimus B&B. The location was perfect! The train and bus station is across the street. Andra gave us links to the trains from the airport prior to arriving and the walking directions to the stay take you directly to the door. He gave us great restaurant and bar recommendations. We had booked a Vatican tour for the next morning at 7:00 am so he made sure we had breakfast items ahead of time in our room. The room is clean and the bed is comfy. There is a coffee machine in the room as well. We will stay here again on future trips to Rome!
