Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomMy mum and I travelled from Milan to Rome and we were recommended to stay in La Spezia to visit Cinque Terre. We were not disappointed. We couldn't find Big Central Room at first but that was our fault. Alessandro had taken time to send us instructions and photos via WhatsApp. It was the perfect place to stay. 5 min walk to train station and 2 min into town where we found lovely bars restaurants and shops. Alessandro couldn't have been more helpful, he even sent us messages to tell us things that we happened in laspezia so we didn't miss out. Thank you I have recommended this part of italyand this accommodation to my family and friends. Mum says she misses our room there!

South KoreaLast night, due to the train being sold out, I had no choice but to spend the night at a nearby accommodation. 1. The address listed on the Booking app was incorrect. I had to wander the streets while exhausted to find the right location. 2. It was my first time encountering a self check-in system. A detailed explanation on how to retrieve the keys should have been included. The only information I received was: "Enter code 1172 to get the keys and access the flat."
I chose this place because of the reviews mentioning cleanliness. Thank you to the manager for the prompt response.
