Yes, the hostess arranged for us to come earlier but only for a fee of 8 euro. The amount wasn't a bit deal but after travelling through Italy for over a month, no-one ever asked for a fee to arrive early. We are in our 80's and we asked each place we stayed if we could come 12.00-13.00. Either it was OK or not OK, but no-one has said "yes - for a fee". In the booking.com site the room size was 38 square metres. All the reviews spoke of how spacious the room was. Ours was tiny! Not even 18 square metres. Everything was squeezed into this tiny space. Even the TV was in a position that if you watched it from the bed (the only place to watch it) you would end up with a sore neck. There were 2 rooms to choose from and both were tiny. Like an attic. There was a big step going out of the tiny bathroom which was quite dangerous if you forgot it was there.

The decor was old-fashioned period style. It was done well with lots of pieces of memorabilia around the room and the accommodation. The hostess was very friendly. Check in is 16.00 and we asked to come earlier as it was a day of high 30's so she arranged that. She arrived with fresh apricots and rolls. The place was clean and handy to the old town. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was normal Italian style....coffee/tea, biscuits, yoghurt, fruit juice, dry toast, marmalade and package rolls. There is one allocated parking place outside the hotel which was handy.

Shower was little for long person.

Room was comfy and a bit rustic, in a good way. Clean room and good location, if you dont want to hear the traffic when you are sleeping. You can make your own breakfast, there is coffee maker and everything on the room.

Parking can be a bit tricky. You can park for free in the streets, but it can be a bit snug. Make sure you park in the designated white area in wide streets.

We had a very cosy room, which was very historical and cozy. The temperature in Massafra was pretty high, but the room remained very comfortable. The breakfast was already served in the morning and after we left for the day the room was completely cleaned. The owner is super nice, and gives great advice for restaurants and activities in the area.

During our bike trip across Italy, we stayed at several hotels, but none could match the charm and personal attention at the Novecento, wow what a place. They made us feel incredibly welcome and had a secure place to store our bikes overnight. The location is top-notch, right in the city centre. It wouldn't have been the same if we had stayed anywhere else. We can't wait to come back!

Creative vintage style with incredible attention to detail, the interior reflected the rustic charm of Massafra perfectly. Greeted with so much warmth and friendliness. You can feel a lot of love has been given into the creation of Novecento. Location was perfecto, with my scooter there was so much to explore in the surroundings.

Tiziana is a super friendly and helpfull hostess. Perfect location, easy parking two minutes walk from the city center. Nice historical apartment.

The only thing i could find is a bed that was a little too hard for me. But that could also be personal taste. Everything else was good!

Friendly hostess, big appartement, own kitchen with gas and a good refrigirator. Enough breakfast!

The old part of the city is difficult to reach with a car larger than a Fiat 500. The town itself is not touristy. The apartment we were accommodated in is on the ground floor with little light. However, our reservation was made the day before our check-in due to a problem with another reservation in the same city. Breakfast was nothing remarkable.
