Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesDirty room. Needs a deep cleaning. Broken shower rod, broken toilet paper holder, broken safe, stained upholstery, balcony furniture broken and dirty glass windows. Awful breakfast too. Most staff were in a bad mood during my entire stay. If you hate your job then quit. I will never stay here again.

United KingdomMy double bed was just 2 small beds put together, not very comfy but after a what day walk in Rome it felt like made of clouds. There was to kettle/tea/coffee in my room.
Location is the best thing - any hotel just a few minutes from Termini would be a great choice !! Breakfast was OK if you like sweet breakfast : croissants / cakes . Toasts with cheese and mortadella were OKish.

ItalyAir-con needed during our stay May 29.
For the price near the station we got what we paid for. Lift but no air-con (old building) and happened to be hot day. We left windows open at night.

ItalyThis is a very old hotel, and its age definitely shows in its rooms (I obviously can only speak to my one room and don't intend for this to be a blanket statement of all rooms there), with deep holes from where the door handle hits the wall upon opening, along with numerous black marks from bed, table, cases scraping against the walls. Single-paned windows allows for street noise in the morning. As my door's lock didn't fit correctly into the wall, I put suitcase and a table in front of the door for security. As it was very late at night and the table (and my suitcase!) was heavy enough to prevent the door opening, I didn't feel the need to say anything. A key is needed from the outside to open the door, so this wasn't major. The room numbers on the doors could use a coat of paint as they are mostly erased from age, but you can still still the outline of the numbers. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. It is a typically Italian breakfast, with an offering of super sweet cakes and "pies", nutella, generic plain ( no flavor) yogurt, and sliced waxy-cheese and mortadella. Coffee was out of a good machine with espresso, capuccino, etc. If you like sweet foods for breakfast, you'll like it. If you don't eat sweets and don't like sweet food, then one muesli-like cereal is your only other choice. Unfortunately -- and this isn't the fault of the hotel -- the breakfast room is small and there were people who had doused themselves in bottles of perfumes and come down to sit in the tiny room. As I'm unfortunately sensitive to perfume smells, I was forced to take everything up to the room. As a former hotel manager for years, I wish more hotels would put signs up to ask people to please be considerate of others when it comes to putting on perfumes (female AND male) when intending to sit in small, closed-in, basement rooms. Would I choose Nizza again?
The location is perfect for anyone needing/using Termini for transportation. The night staff were helpful with my very late arrival ( it can be a little confusing when it lists "24-hour reception" but "check-in closes at 20:00). As my flight didn't arrive FCO until 20:40, this created an issue -- however, night staff were helpful as I made it clear that this was a little misleading on Booking's site and had I known, I obviously would never have booked a hotel with a closing check-in time of after even my arrival at FCO, much less needing time to then get into Rome, etc. Even though the listing states an airport shuttle (paid) is offered, when I asked day-time staff about it, I was told to take a bus as it was "better" (even though I was mobility-impaired due to a recent surgery and stated that I was willing to pay for the shuttle). I appreciated the night staff's help in getting up the entrance stairs with my luggage as I was struggling from walking with my suitcase in the rain (no, I had no umbrella with me!). Also appreciated was them keeping my luggage for me while I went to take care of some business I had in Rome. Thanks to the night staff for the recommendation of pretty much the only place to get food at that late at night, at the pizzeria/trattioria across the street. As I live in Umbria, it was nice to get a very nicely-done pinsa at that time of night! I would just mention one small thing to the younger night-time staff member -- don't always assume that your guest doesn't speak/understand Italian.

United Kingdomonly 2 persons allowed in the Elevator at one time so bigger parties might have an issue, especially if your room is on the top floor. Breakfast was very simple, mostly pastries, you wont find anything close to a full English or American breakfast. No Air con in room
Staff were great, couldn't ask for better, location is great as its only a few mins walk from main Transport hub (Train, Underground, Bus) so its very easy access to get to where you want to go.

AustraliaBreakfast was nice but over the weekend it got busy & there didn’t seem to be anyone cleaning the tables as people left so people had to clear their own tables in order to sit down.
Staff on front desk were very welcoming and friendly & it’s a good location as very close to Roma Termini train station. Comfortable, clean, quiet rooms.

United KingdomThey keep your room key when you leave the hotel. The shower screen on the bath didn’t actually touch the bath so when I had a shower the water went everywhere and basically flooded the room which sent me into a panic. The staff handled it really well and helped to dry up the floors which we really appreciated.

United KingdomThe hotel needs some TLC especially the ensuite, some of fittings were tatty, lighting very low. Showering needed some thought, toilet seat was loose, Can’t prevent entry to room unless you leave key in the lock on the inside. Sometimes the insecure front desk is left unmanned for a short periods of time leaving access to room keys while front entrance is left open to the wide world,
Mature and not too glitzy and good place to bed down while touring Rome. All staff were friendly.AC made sleeping comfortable and was not noisy. Had a bidet b The buffet breakfast was adequate tended towards sweet more than savoury. Fantastic restaurant on the opposite side of the street, know how to treat customers

United KingdomOur bathroom door wouldn’t close properly and it took several days to get that sorted. The breakfast had a wide variety of cakes and pastries but all a bit tasteless., though you wouldn’t think it the way some people piled up their plates. Chicken and egg. I also couldn’t access my room. My husband is deaf and must have been I the bathroom/shower and the staff would not give me another key to get into the room, even though they knew who I was and undertook to bring it straight back.
The location was good with plenty good places to eat. It’s been quite grand in its time, but now just a little tired, though the room sizes are good.

Malta1. TV did not work and though it was seen to by the technician was not repaired 2. We did not have hot water in the bathroom.
The hotel's location is excellent, only a couple of blocks away from the train station and bus terminus. We had a decently sized room overlooking a street, so it tended to be noisy at times. Breakfast was decent as well. The staff were excellent and tried to cater to our needs to the best of their abilities

BelgiumMany things I did not like about the hotel entrance are that it does not have a path for bags, and then the pictures differ from reality. The room is small. The bed is small. There is no heating. The water is not hot enough. There is no blanket to sleep on to warm you from the cold. The bathroom door needs a lot of force to open. The door is bad, and the window is old. Air comes in. That is enough. I do not want to talk more.
