The receptionists are well-trained. Something unexpected happened when we first got into the room, and we complained about it to the front desk. Without any hesitation, the receptionist handled the issue smoothly, provided us a free upgrade, and followed up with our comment the second day.

A bit noisy at night, as we could hear people talking on the street, and cars and trams passing by.

Location is OK, walking distance from Milano Central train station, and to the Duomo. Metro and tram stations are also close by. The room is spacious and the staff were very friendly. Great pizza restaurant less than 4 minutes away.

We didn’t have the room we had booked for our first night, but they gave us an even better room for the other nights. It was a bit noisy in the mornings a a other rooms’ doors closing make a lot of noise. The rooms are a bit dated.

Location was great, and they made up for the mistake that happened on the first night. Rooms were clean.

I already wrote that breakfast is a classic hotel offer. But the fried bacon was frying and drying in that pan for, it looks like, more than 3 days. There were pieces that you could barely bite into.

Good hotel in the city. It can't be said that it is in the center, but you can reach Milan Cathedral on foot in about half an hour, or take tram number 1. The retro trams that still run in the city are excellent. There are many restaurants and bars around the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is a classic hotel offer - starting with omelette, ... The hotel room and bathroom are spacious, there is a bathtub, not just a shower. I just don't understand one thing, why do you need 2 sinks in the bathroom?

Rooms need renovation. Room didnt have tea/coffee machine/kettle but staff were kind enought to make an exception and gave a kettle. Dinner was very average with limitted choices

We really enjoyed our stay at the NH Milano Machiavelli hotel. We stayed for 6 nights, due to using the hotel as a base to travel in and around Milan. The hotel was around a 30 minute walk from the Duomo area. However, the hotel is very close to a metro station, making it super easy to get around. The hotel is also very close to the central train station- around a ten minute walk- which meant that we were able to access transport to other areas, such as Verona, Lake Garda, Lake Como, and even Switzerland, very easily! The staff were all incredibly helpful. Staff provided us with any extra towels etc. that we asked for. I am gluten intolerant, and the breakfast staff remembered this every morning, offering me a selection of gluten free breakfast items each day. The items were Schar packaged items, which was good enough to ensure that I was not going hungry on a morning. There is also a great selection of cheeses, meats and fruits, as well as scrambled eggs and bacon, so I did not worry about finding something to eat. Our double superior room was a good size, and was comfortable for our stay. The air conditioning worked very well, ensuring that we were able to escape the summer heat! The hotel also stored our luggage for us free of charge on the day of our departure, meaning we could explore the city for one last day without having to carry bags. Overall, this hotel was a great base in Milan. It did not have a pool etc., but served us well for the travel-based trip we were making. We would definitely stay again!

Good location, walking distance to the nearby Montanelli Gardens and central station, 15 min to the centro storico. Paid car parking facing hotel. Clean common areas. Helpful Staff.

For a country famed for it’s food, the hotel restaurant remains an area of “work in progress”.

As a disabled traveller, the pavement was a nightmare! The counter camber on the pavement left you feeling you were about to be tipped into a street of potholes and tram tracks. Added to this vehicles park on the pavement, making a trip out feel more like an obstacle course. Not the responsibility of the hotel, but a problem, nonetheless.

Graffiti on the streets outside. Not a problem once at the property.

Couldn’t fault it. Very clean and well maintained. Comfortable quiet rooms and very comfortable bed.

the distance from Centrale station and the Dumo was not just a few steps away. For us, with a 5-year-old kid, the 20-25 minute walk was a bit challenging.

The room was good enough for two people, and the bed was comfy, though not one of those you sink into. The breakfast was particularly good, which is a pleasant surprise in Italy where it's hard to find international breakfast options in cafes and restaurants that aren't just croissants and sweets.

A gem of a hotel close to a large park, shopping, tram and metro in the Corso Buenos Aires area. Bed was great.
