Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NorwayThis hotel needs a total from top to bottom renovation. It’s a complete mystery how it possibly could get 4 *. The smell of mould in the room was almost unbearable. I tried to find another hotel but they were all filled up during high season. When I arrived 02 in the night (I had noticed them) due to a very delayed flight there was not a bottle of water there, and NO way I could buy one. And the person in the reception got obviously very annoyed when I asked for help with the hardly working aircon. So I didn’t dare to ask for more. I got sick after two days, not sure, but my doctor highly suspect it was because of the bad air/air condition as it affected my respiratory tract and then my hole body so I’m now medicated on heavy doses antibiotics. The location of the hotel is perfect though, but it’s obviously not worth risking your health. I think even booking.com should take notice. I don’t think hotels.com has this hotel on their list anymore.
