How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewJust a few blocks from a Metro station and with some decent food options in the area, this was a nice place to stay to not be in the heart of the tourist core of downtown but still have access to everything. The common space in the apartment is shared (kitchen/dining) but each room has its own lock. The host was great. We had a small issue arise in the room which she had fixed within hours and she also helped us get into a restaurant right before they closed when our flight arrived a little late.

Verified reviewThe bed was really comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and the water pressure in the shower was very high. We liked everything. Simona is very attentive, you can be 100% sure that she will do everything to make your stay even better. She was in touch with me from the first moment, I knew she was waiting for me. I would definitely recommend this place. The Suite is located close to the metro station.
Actually nothing to add here regarding the Suite but if you like slippers, take them with you. Pay attention that there are parking slots next to the Suite but you need to pay 1.20€ per hour from 7am to 7pm. And if you come home late, it can be hard to find a parking slot. Anyway, the parking info has nothing to do with the Suite itself. We liked it all!

For my needed it's all right... but in case of holiday maybe I'd like to have brakfast and not only some biscuits, coffee and tea in the room... !!! In order of the tipology of trip, all this has been enough !

The host was amazing – she welcomed us in person, gave us lots of great tips about what to do and where to go in Milan, and was super friendly and always quick to answer any questions. The apartment itself was in a perfect location, just a short walk to the metro and very easy to get to the city center. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, with cafes, shops, and a supermarket nearby. Inside, everything was super clean, cozy, and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfy, the Wi-Fi was strong, and everything worked perfectly. For the price, this place was an excellent value. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Milan!

The sound insulation is very bad, you can hear everything from neighbors. The bed is small and no kitchen in shared apartment.

As for the kitchen, as clearly indicated in the ad, the structure is not equipped with it. We had to pay the city fees by cash leaving the money on the desk when leaving. Normally I don't use cash, only cards, so I had to withdraw money just because of this. Normally I paid by booking. Very bad situation.

Unfortunately I think that having such large luggage and traveling by public transport is always a big problem, (our distance from the metro is about 8 minutes) As for the distance from the center, using the metro in 15/20 minutes you can get there, an acceptable time all in all. Verified reviewMy stay at the Mulan Suite was very convenient, especially due to its easy access by metro from Milano Centrale. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and provided with everything we needed. Simona was very helpful, giving us useful information about the city and recommending great places to visit. The rooms were exactly as shown in the pictures and were kept clean throughout our stay. I particularly appreciated the secure and simple technology for accessing the room, making both check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend this place!

Verified reviewWe had a pleasant experience with this location. We got the Lisbon room and everything was excellent: attention to detail, the way the room it was arranged, the big and comfortable bathroom. In the room we had tea and coffee and something sweet. The location is close to the metro in a quiet area and it was easy to reach all the tourist spots. The host was always in contact with us and gave us all the details that we needed. We will definitely come back here with pleasure.
