Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We had a good sized room right in rhe center of the pedestrian district, very clean and good breakfast. However, even better was the staff that seemed to really care and made our 4 day stay special.

United KingdomThe only downside was that our room faced a narrow alley in front of another hotel but we did not go there for the views from room windows, qe spent most of the time outsidr.
Breakfast was the best we had during the holiday, both in quality and variety, staff was very professional and helpful, location right in the town centre, parking spot available for us, clean and functional room, nice traditional internal design.

United KingdomIt can be noisy, given the adjacent apres-ski places on the snowfront and the late night noise from the street in front. The room heating was difficult to control, so we had to keep a window open, exacerbating the noise issue. Rooms are basic and lighting a bit rudimentary. Extra sockets have been fitted, but there were 2 different generations, so some worked with our European adapters and some didn't. For guests staying a week the storage and hanging space is minimal, especially with damp or wet clothing, so pick a larger room or one with a balcony. Parking is minimal outside the hotel, on a first-come basis and you need to register your car with the hotel before arrival even if just dropping off luggage before parking elsewhere as it is controlled and monitored in the town centre. The ski room door was tricky to shut and we frequently found it unlocked, which we pointed out to staff.
Great location on the snowfront, and we even managed to snaffle an adjacent parking space! It is 2 mins walk with skis to the main chairlifts, with direct access to a well heated ski room and surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants and ski schools. Breakfast is in an upper room overlooking the slopes, so you can check the conditions and state of the queues before venturing out and use the tables for board games in the evening. Breakfast is continental-style with lots of choice and plenty of everything, with friendly and efficient staff replacing and clearing up constantly. Rooms are basic and old-fashioned ski-chalet style, but everything worked and they are cleaned and made up daily. Reception staff are very helpful and informative, and always around to sort out any problems, with an out of hours number given for emergencies. There's a huge free car park on the road into Cervinia, so you can drop off your luggage and park there, only 10 minutes walk away.

EstoniaOur room windows faced the slopes, offering a beautiful view. However, many after-ski bars are open after the ski day, and they tend to be quite noisy until the late hours. If you prefer to skip the mountain view and enjoy a quieter atmosphere, you should ask for a street view room.
The hotel is just a few steps away from the lifts and in the very centre of the village.

IrelandThe staff offered to make tea after breakfast was finished, which was outside of the price. This was a really nice gesture, but the water was heated in the microwave and not always hot. We still really appreciated it though!
Very good location and easily accessible ski room. Very close to the ski lifts. The staff replaces items that finish at breakfast really quickly. Possibility of cooking your own eggs for breakfast, which ensures they're warm and done however you want them, which is really good. Cleaning is done everyday at noon, when everyone is out of the hotel for skiing, so guests aren't bothered by cleaning staff.

ItalyThe breakfast is VERY Italian. For some it can be a great thing, for others - it's a bit of a downer. I can be mistaken, but besides of Italy only couple of other countries enjoy eating desserts for breakfast. Many others actually eat food for breakfast. One doesn't get that vital energy and nutritions out of cookies, croissants and Nutella. I wish there would be more food options for non Italians, considering that Cervinia Is being visited by many cultures around the world. Also, as others mentioned in the comments - you can hear a loud music from the bar behind the wall. In my experience, music only played on Friday and Saturday evenings until somewhat 22:00, on Sunday it was quiet. So as long as you can keep yourself busy till 22:00 you should be fine (we watched a movie/TV series). That, or you should be able to sleep in a loud environment.
The value for the stay and the location. It's the closest location to everything for skiing - the first ski lift to the slopes, the renting places nearby, the food, the pharmacy, you name it. This place has the bare minimum you need to enjoy ski days. Also, the breakfast is VERY Italian. What for some, could be a very great thing.
