Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe mattress was a bit hard for our taste. We felt like the bar was short staffed and quite a few things we asked for on multiple occasions were missed such as olives or a glass of coke.
The property was cleaned every day and the beds made, towels refreshed etc. The floor could have done with a mop. The hot tub was great and easy to use. Shower had good pressure and temperature was great. Mini bar was refreshed every day with no charge.

RomaniaThe room was just like pictures. The jacuzzi on the terrace was perfect. The breakfast was plenty of everything. The main restaurant in the evening was very good. Also bed comfortable and even you get a bag with beach towel and pillow for the terrace. So I totally recommend this hotel. PS. I have seen other reviews that were bad. I was afraid that's the case but these reviews were wrong. Everything it's just fine.

TaiwanSome common areas and amenities felt a bit underwhelming compared to the quality of the rooms, but still great service.
The rooms were the highlight—super clean, beautifully decorated, and more impressive than the hotel’s general amenities. Good breakfast variety, conveniently located, though not walking distance from the city center buzz. Super nice area though, Coppede is a must see in Rome.

United KingdomMy only negative is that the air con seems to be on a timer so the rest of the time, the system works as just a fan, which makes the room quite warm!
We had such a great stay at Mercure Roma Corso Trieste. The hotel is modern, stylish, and super comfortable - perfect if you’re looking for a quieter spot away from the chaos of central Rome. It’s set a little further out, but honestly, getting around was a breeze with the nearby metro and the occasional Uber. A special shoutout to Andrea, who went above and beyond with his friendly, helpful service.

HungaryThere was no real complaint that I could mention here.
Honestly, this hotel was one of the best choices I have ever made in my life. Here are the reasons: -the location was really good. The neighborhood Trieste is a gorgeous, quite district, with cute cafes and restaurants. The hotel was a 5-10 minutes walk away from the nearest metro station. Besides the metro line B1, there were plenty bus lines as well. -The room was stunning. We stayed on the 6th floor, and the view from the balcony was breath-taking. Everything was clean and organized. -The staff was absolutely wonderful, really. I want to give a special thanks to Andrea and Arianna from the reception, who helped us out multiple times. They helped us get around the city and gave us tips from their point of view as locals. The other staff members were very welcoming and made us feel at home. -We ate breakfast at the hotel for 15€/person, and it was worth every cent to be honest. The selection of food and drink was exceptional, and there were even vegan options. They made sure we got some plant milk for our coffees, when we asked for it.

TurkeyThe room was very small though we stayed in an upgraded room. We could hardly move and had very little space for luggage. There was not a luggage rack either and I am not a fan of emptying the whole luggage into the wardrobe. The towels were weary and very thin. The shower window was weird, impossible to keep water going out. The room was old and needs renovation.
The staff were lovely and fulfilled our needs immediately every slngle time. The room was clean. The complimentary drinks in fridge were nice. The location was average - 55 min walk to Piazza Poppolo, 10 minute walk to the metro station.

AustraliaQuite a distance away from the main city but easy to get to via buses or metro. We wanted to get a drink at the bar after coming back from the main city but we were immediately told off that we can’t eat ‘outside’ food in the restaurant area as soon as I ONLY placed my takeaway container on the table just to look for my wallet in my bag. We assured him we weren’t going to eat, we were only there to drink but the bar staff insisted on asking his manager if we can eat our takeaway food there or not Breakfast options were great but again, the staff weren’t too welcoming after I politely asked if we could eat outside as there was no room. Instead, there was an exasperated response and it sounded like a huge bother if we sat outside as the waiter had to apparently clean the tables still.
Nice interior decoration in the room; it’s very spacious and clean. The attendant who checked us in (I’m guessing he was the manager) was very helpful and showed us around the facilities and even showed us how to get around and what to see in Rome without even asking so we were very grateful (free drinks vouchers too!). Only a couple of unpleasantries.

GibraltarOur hot tub didn’t stay full so needed topping up after an hour or so. Didn’t try the restaurant so can’t comment on that.
Rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and it had a cozy feel about it. Metro is a short walk away so even though you aren’t central it is very easy to get around.
