Fab view from our balcony overlooking Taormina. Worth upgrading the room. Nice poolarea. Calm surroundigns. Andrea in the breakfast restaurant - very serviceminded! Front desk staff also very informative and friendly! Transfer to beach including bed and umbrella for 9 euro!

View amazing, concierge & all staff so very helpful, link to sister hotel for beach was brilliant. The swimming pool was beautiful and we were so close to the restaurants & shopping

bathroom very small and a bit dated but shower worked well! I would get rid of the old rusty hotel sign as it makes the hotel look old fashioned and under invested

Location was excellent with great views and beautiful landscaping. The pool was nice for a refreshing swim and lounging after a busy day.

There was an odour at times from the bathroom.

Loved the hotel so much we booked another night! Thanks to the staff for assisting. The hotel is like a step back in time and the view from our room with the big sea view and Etna was amazing..

I found the older man (perhaps the owner) at the reception a little rude.. he was constantly shushing one of the female workers in reception while I was organising another night’s stay, which made me feel a little uncomfortable

Our room had a stunning view of both Mount Etna and the coast of Taormina. The room's terrace was large and we also appreciated the pool, also with great views and a very relaxing place to be. The buffet breakfast was served on another lower terrace with a choice of sunshine or shade. The hotel has great 1960's charm and period features with modern comforts. Also, it is sighted away from the main crowds. Another bonus is the sister hotel on the beach offering free access to their beach club sun-lounges, towels and a beach umbrella. There is a chargeable shuttle to this, or walk as we did.

The hotel is at the top of the town; great view but lots of steps to access.

What a wonderful stay! The view from this hotel never gets old. We paid for a sea view room and would highly recommend, definitely worth it. We enjoyed finishing our nights with Prosecco on the balcony! Aircon worked well. The breakfast was great with lots of options. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. Very hard working! The pool was excellent. No issues finding sun beds and such a stunning view. We also made use of the sister beach hotel which is incredibly good value for the beach lounges and transport (€9 per person) The beach is private and we preferred it to the other main beaches in Taormina! A huge plus of this hotel. We loved the location. It’s close enough to the action about a 10 minute walk downstairs. Excellent food options nearby. Definitely better to stay up the hill than down at the beach from our perspective!

The hotel is certainly old and the bathrooms in particular could do with an upgrade. However it does have an older charm and provided you are prepared for some older facilities (eg. the lift is tiny) then you will still enjoy! The view, location and pool outweighs the dated facilities.

Staff were absolutely amazing. Always friendly and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. The location, with views towards Etna and the sea were incredible. Rooms were spacious enough for two people and their baggage. Even though some might find the bathroom a little dated, it was clean and everything was in good condition. Lift was a little small, but all part of the charm. Breakfast, thanks to choice, quality, service and the views was a perfect start to every day. Pool was great; in a wonderful position , above average size , and the water temperature was perfect.

The view was exceptional. All the staff were extremely helpful in every way. We used the shuttle service to the beach and were able to walk into the centre of Taormina easily.

Outdated, very small and awkward bathrooms, breakfast was underwhelming

A lovely, well established hotel run with love and attention to detail. Valet parking was easy and our luggage was delivered to our bedroom. The bedroom had plenty of space for the four of us and although it was slightly dated, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked fine. The pool (3 metres deep at the deep end and a bridge at the shallow) was wonderful with towels provided and set in a beautiful garden that overlooked the sea and Taormina. There was a piano for our son to play and we enjoyed our drinks on the large terrace and at the pool with great views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t take advantage of the private beach and shuttle to it but certainly would have with more time. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit, tomatoes, meats, pastries and freshly cooked eggs. Most importantly, they had oats muesli - much needed fibre!

Staff is super nice and gave us a lot of help on everything. Next time we go back to Taormina we will stay there. Plus you can use the facilities from the sister hotel at the beach.

Staff were lovely. Free Private beach & shuttle available. Great view of the bay & Mt Edna from breakfast area. Great breakfast.
