It was definitely hot! But our lovely host provided a fan which helped a lot. The keys can be a bit fiddly but once you get the hang of it it’s great.

Our host was exceptionally lovely and made us feel right at home. It’s in the most amazing location to explore Lucca and the city walls! Plenty of bike hire, restaurants and a supermarket a few minutes away!

I had an inner facing room, so it did get quite stuffy, but the fan was fine. No mirror in room.

Mavis apartments is along a good street, not far from the main square. Plenty of restaurant and shops nearby. The rooms are on the 3rd floor, but easily accessed by lift. There are 2 bathrooms, shared between 3 bedrooms. All rooms have a large fan (no air con) but that is sufficient. There is a microwave, kettle and a fridge, which is handy for light meals, but you can’t exactly cook! Rosearia, who looks after the apartments. Is very friendly and helpful, if needed.

Lovely host, fantastic location, just inside the walls, 2 minute walk to bus station, 15 minutes to train station, bakery and pizza places on the doorstep, loads of things to see and do here. Comfy room, relatively quiet given that it's on a pretty busy touristy street, good facilities - fridge, kettle and microwave.

Clean bedroom with very caring housekeeper. Excellent location as it is close to the centre Piazza San Michel . It has a lift which is a rarity in Lucca

Shower was a bit hit and miss, regulating the temperature and stopping it from flooding the floor was problematic. Being taller, it made the shower difficult to use.

Location was superb, inside the walled city of Lucca. Close walking distance from all we wanted to see and do. The host was superb, and communication via email and face to face was excellent. The host was very helpful and understanding, especially as we arrived late due to flight delays.

The window of my room looked onto the corridor, which meant that the room was with no sunlight.

Super nice host, she greeted me at the door, explained everything and answered all my questions. The room and bathroom very clean, bed comfy. Small fridge, plates and microwave available in corridor. Great location, especially for short stay.

The Mavi’s bedroom doesn’t provide a cleaning service, so in our room trash spilled out of the bin. Also, there was only one bathtub for 3 rooms.

I think that the best side of this place is localization. The Mavi’s bedroom is in the centre of Lucca, so it’s close to the most popular atractions of the town. The host was really helpfull and nice!

A few minor niggles such as loose toilet seats and a feeble and rather noisy ceiling fan (wouldn't expect air conditioning at this price point), but for the price I paid it was an amazing bargain and I'd happily stay there again.

Outstanding value, fantastic location in a beautiful city, very friendly welcome. Just three bedrooms sharing one full bathroom and a separate toilet and basin, with kettle, microwave and fridge provided in the corridor. I was staying there as part of a large group of friends visiting the city but all making independent travel arrangements, and it turned out that three of us had booked into the same place, so we had it to ourselves.

I struggled to find where it was on the street and walked past without realises and ended up asking someone . Once I knew it was fine but I do wonder if host is allowed a sign outside the property or if it is worth adding in the description that the name of the place is on the bell you press to gain access? I think host could consider a new more comfortable single bed or to make it a double as the mattress was sunken a bit in the middle and it made my back and hip problem worse .

I found the property to be different and quirky which I like and in a lovely old building with character . The host explained things very well to me and property is maintained very well.

The mattresses were REALLY soft, like a marshmallow. Also, our room was right next to the bathroom, so whenever anyone went in there it would be noisy in our room. I guess it’s like sharing a flat with other people.

A bit noisy especially in the weekend. But thats more choosing a location thing, rather than the accomodation can do about.

Shared bathroom was very clean, host was helpfull in sharing some touristy tips. Also a kettle and fridge is a bonus. Location in the city centre. An elevator available. Just a nice place to stay.

Nothing! We visited in early May so there were no problems with lack of air conditioning - but I imagine in July and August it could be very hot in these third floor rooms. That said, there was a fan in the room we stayed in - so probably okay?

Our stay in Mavis Rooms was absolutely lovely! Great to have the kettle, fridge, microwave and crockery provided - plus teabags! Felt very homely. Rosaria was so welcoming and helpful - and the location in the old centre was perfect. Great restaurants, a supermarket and tourist info nearby - but still quiet enough at night. We'd love to come back.

My room did not have much daylight and fresh air. It is good for sleeping but for getting some work done, it is better to go to the librarian cafe. It can also be noisy at times (noises of all the neighbours). But at night it is quiet.

The rooms have a nice size, there is an elevator, fridge, cooker and microwave to use. The shower has hot water. There’s wifi to use. Fresh towels are provided. On the ground floor there is enough room to park your (rental) bicycle. The location is excellent.

It would be nice if there were some spoons provided and the room was a bit chilly and dark, but I enjoyed my stay.

Very small window in room. So i needed to put light on.

I loved my room with 2 bathrooms right beside it plus tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge nearby. Also that I could use the lift upstairs. It was in a great location . (Once i worked it out) ROSARIA was friendly and tried her best when I needed help. I dont speak Italian and Rosaria had to use google translate. But I appreciated her efforts.
