My wife and I have just had the most WONDERFUL honeymoon experience at Mastropa. What a place! It's hard to find the words to describe how amazing this place is. Gianna and her staff took care of our every need. Everything was wonderful, the breakfasts were stunning every morning, and the surroundings (set amongst centuries old olive trees) were spectacular, with views over the Gulf of Taranto. We are terribly sad to be leaving this little slice of heaven.. Tip: take note of Gianna's restaurant recommendations. Wow, wow wow wow!

An incredibly beautiful property that has been lovingly restored to its full glory. Gianna is the best host - she is caring, friendly, thoughtful, and did so much to make our stay feel so special. The property was a little isolated so getting around required some planning and was expensive. The swimming pool was chilly. Given the price for the stay, I would expect that heating be provided

The property was absolutely wonderful. Really well kept, rooms were clean and kept fresh every day. The breakfast spread was incredible. At any time you needed anything the wonderful host was only a message away. The pool was tranquil and it felt as if the whole place was your own. Beautiful and modern property: fantastically renovated and furnished. Stunning swimming pool too. The host, Gianna, goes out her way to be kind and helpful and if you have a request she'll get back to you immediately, every time. Loved the fresh juices at breakfast and the peaceful and immaculate pool area.

This is without a doubt one of the best trips me and partner have been on - we’re still thinking about!! It’s down to the amazing hospitality of Gianna, Patrizia and the rest of the team. The property and interior is beautiful and being so high up you get lovely views of the surrounding landscape. The room was perfect, spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast was are favourite part, super fresh ingredients, all homemade and every day we got something a little different. We loved having a morning coffee with Gianna and discussing all the places we could visit, she was so kind and helpful and really set us up for the day! We know this venue will be so popular in the years to come but we hope to be back at some point very soon! It was magical!

Our Stay at Mastropa was absolute heaven, the property is absolutely stunning with astounding landscaping and design all creating the most relaxing environment possible. The breakfast was probably the nicest I have ever seen with fresh made cakes, a huge variety of meats, breads & cheeses including fresh Burrata's and mozzarella every morning. Lastly, I would give a huge shout out to Gianna & Mimmo who were absolutely lovely and looked after us to give us the most relaxing time possible. Overall it is by far the nicest place I have ever stayed and puts every other 5 star hotel I have ever stayed in to shame with perfect service and a place that is so relaxing you'll never want to leave.

It was perfect!

Gianna was the most wonderful host, so warm, welcoming and made our trip to Massafra incredible! This is the perfect place for relaxation - the amazing pool and surrounding grounds is the place to unwind and chill. The rooms are immaculate, we loved the high ceilings. We were given great recommendations for local restaurants, it has secure parking and amazing facilities such as powerful shower. We did not want to leave and will most definitely be returning. Amazing!!

Booking’s rating goes until 10, but Mastropà clearly is an 11. What a magnificent resort. The drive up to the grounds is really impressive with lavender and beautiful olivetrees to accompagnie you. The estate, its terraces, its beautiful gardens, the swimmingpool and the astonishing views right up to the Ionian Sea are breathtaking. Our room was in the nicely renovated stables. It had al the facilities you could wish for. On top of all this we were welcomed by the very warmhearted proprietor. Gianna served us every morning a delicious breakfast with several Italian and other specialities. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and hope to come back some time.

You need a car for access and it's up a gravel track, so be aware if you drive something sporty.

Beautiful new hotel, there is so much love poured in to this from the owners. Exceptional breakfast and coffee, great savoury and sweet options. Lovely views over the valley, we nipped to the edge of town and had a great pizza for evening meal. For our room the contents of the minibar was included in the price we paid - This is a great touch and makes things so much nicer.

Hands down one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The hotel itself is beautiful, tranquil and extremely high quality. The facilities are beautiful and the food is all local and home made. What sets this hotel apart from others is the incredible service provided from the hotel owners. My husband & I were sick during our stay and they went out of their way to look after us (went and got us dinner when we couldn’t, spoke to doctors & went to the pharmacy for us), not to mention they extended our stay until we were well enough to leave. We are truly grateful to have been able to stay in such a wonderful place & we can’t wait to visit again in the near future!

Just perfect!

A piece of Heaven - we had the most amazing stay at Mastropa. The property itself is a gem. Very quiet, relaxing, with wonderful views & a beautiful surrounding. The room was extraordinary and decorated with lots of love. Super clean. Gianna, the host, was very warm and welcoming and even gave us a private tour to the propertys own „Gravina“. The breakfast was delicious! Everything homemade, focaccia, croissants, tiramisu and the best smoothies.
