It’s a bit out of the way. You need to have a car to access it (which we did) but the roadways there are very narrow. Savelletri is nearby but not ‘close’. We were the only guests there and this meant the restaurant was not fully up and running. Proprietor explained that the upcoming G7 meeting to happen nearby had impacted them. In hindsight maybe they shouldn’t have accepted our booking. Booked room for four people. Was a bit tight.

Lovely setting, would be ideal for a group of friends travelling together, for an event or retreat. Staff were very pleasant, nice people.

Further out of the way than I realised -I had hoped to be able to walk locally

Delightful agroturismo Masseria - I wanted somewhere tranquil for a few peaceful days before a family wedding close by. Staff were helpful and kind although no one spoke any English Food was mainly grown on the property and was delicious and well presented.

a kettle or coffee machine in room or facility to make a quick drink within breakfast room so not to keep asking owner/staff to make one.. a shelf in shower to put shampoo/ soap on as you have to keep putting on floor only observations not criticism .

The only thing that bothered us during our stay was the fact that the owners weren’t the most welcoming and hospitable. They were absolutely very kind and nice, but their English was very limited so it was hard to make contact with them. The difficulty here was that in the rooms you weren’t able to drink or eat anything, because you didn’t have any glasses, plates, cutlery and only a tiny fridge to use. Usually this isn’t an issue, but at this location most of the time there was also no one present in the bar / restaurant area to serve you any drinks or snacks. There were moments we waited for an hour until there was someone to serve us a glass of wine around 5pm. Like most Masseria’s, Torremossa was located in the middle of a big landscape with no shops or stores nearby. For that reason I believe there should always be someone present at the Masseria who fluently speaks English and is constantly available to show you around the Masseria and help you with your questions and wishes.

The Masseria was absolutely stunning. There was a certain soothing atmosphere on the property that was very comfortable. The swimming pool and sun beds were very relaxing and well taken care of. Around the property the owner Nino and his wife grew a lot of different vegetables and fruits, which they served during breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was also really comprehensive and with great quality. For dinner it was possible to make a reservation in the restaurant area, close to the garden. They served a 2/3/4 course menu with their own or other local ingredients, which tasted absolutely fantastic. The rooms were quite nice either.

Somewhat off the beaten track so you will need a car!

Beautifully kept masseria, lovely tranquil gardens. Breakfast was great with lots of options. We also had dinner there one night - it was served on the terrace which was beautiful. Hosts were friendly and attentive and gave us a good local recommendations.

We loved everything, but be prepared for a long, narrow drive up the road to the property. Most of the road is fine, but there are a few stretches of very narrow road bordered by rock walls and you’ll have to needle your car down the road (and adjust/account for oncoming traffic).

The property is beautiful and historic. The buildings are renovated original farmhouses and are beautifully appointed with antiques and modern comforts. The area is surrounded by olive and fruit trees. The pool is relaxing, clean, and beautiful. Everything about this place is an Italian country farmhouse dream.

Masseria Torremossa is a very beautiful special place - quiet, stunning and delicious. Nino and Clara are so sweet, Cecilia so helpful and kind. The breakfast was so perfect and options plenty to please the family. We had dinner a few times including a pasta class and it was all so delicious, best we’d eaten in Italy. The pool and all of the Sept and property Bellissimo!
